Is GM Designer Vicki Vlachakis Hotter Than The Pontiac

Is GM Design Manager Vicki Vlachakis better looking than the cars she designs? We'll call it the Ralph Gilles Effect (we're comfortable enough to admit he is better looking than a Chrysler 300, if just barely). Vlachakis is the pen behind the recently launched Pontiac Solstice and Saturn Sky convertibles. Described in this flattering Freep article as "Part car geek, part Malibu glam girl," her work has definitely been turning heads. House & Garden magazine recently named her one of America's top 50 tastemakers, but we must ask... is she to your taste? More importantly, is she more tasty than the car she helped design -- the Pontiac Solstice? To put it in perspective, we've provided both a Vicki Vlachakis gallery below (provided by the always big pimpin' GM) and we'll use Ford design guru Peter Horbury, seen here, as the control subject for "average looking car designer." – Matt Hardigree

Not sure how you can compare a girl to a car. The Sky Redline and Solstice GXP are both sweet cars... and she's an attractive female.

The people who say she is hotter then a car she designed have never actually touched a woman....

I see what you're saying - but - consider the common analogy of a car to a girlfriend...

Attractive, yes, but she's not that hot IMHO. I'd rather the cars.

Also, when I look at the pic of her in the dress sitting in the Solstice, all I can think of is her legs are really white and she needs a tan badly.

The pictures of her in the office are not that bad, but the other ones aren't very hot.
I'd still take the car, esp. the one in the pics.

Yeah, I agree with the others. Attractive, but definitely not hot. And those pics of her where she looks like she's got a giraffe's neck...yeah, definitely no.

Yeah, I know that. And I know the analogies with cars and women. But, read the article. Is she hotter then the Pontiac she designs or is she tastier then the Pontiac Solstice... kind of makes me think the article was written by a 14-year old virgin... the same type of person who is replying that they would rather drive the car over her

I think she's real cute. Happy Valentine's Day, Vicki

I'd be happy to keep the cars I aleady have, plus have a chance at getting to know her better, discuss her design ideas, show her some of mine.

If it was to be a one-night stand with her vs. having the car for a day(or a week), I'd take her. If it was owning the car vs. having a relationship with her, I'd take the car.

I could always rent the damn car and feel good about having slept with its mother!

she's a cute/girl next door type of chic you see on a daily basis. Nothing to get crazy about. Of course, over hyped because she doesn't fit the car designer mold (no pun intended).
