Getting older so I needed less lowwwwww..... TL ----> Q50 Sport Hybrid

Ok decided to not be so lazy. I was looking into the GS350 but after a test drive it wasn't sporty enough for my needs. It drove a little too smooth for my liking so I decided to go with Infiniti. Here are a few pics. 2014 Q50 Sport Hybrid with all the options. CPO with a little over 11k miles when I picked it up. I've tested out the self braking feature which is pretty cool but scary at the same time. The car also has that self driving feature which I have yet to play with. As for mods, I am going to keep it simple. The car looks sporty enough from factory. It is highly unlikely that I will be doing any suspension work as the car sits low enough due to the Hybrid battery cells located in the trunk. While TL was still reliable, the front end needed paint, needed tires, headliner was sagging and I was getting tired of being low and having exhaust drone. I have been eyeing the Q50 since they first came out last year but I decided to wait it out and let someone else eat that huge first year depreciation. I initially purchased a Premium model in June and backed out of the deal due to a dent that wasn't repaired to my liking. I was sad but I'm glad it worked out that way. I sat in a sport model after and it was there and then I decided I was not going to settle for anything less. I looked at least 6 other cars before pulling the trigger. Even took a 5hr trip and walked away because of the salesperson's attitude. I technically didn't need a car so it was easy for me to walk away if the deal wasn't on my terms. I saw the one I have now when it was just listed but it was a tad out of my price range. I watched it for weeks and decided to make trip one day after work and try my luck. After negotiating I got it for the price I wanted (around 5k less than what it was originally listed for). It was a bit low based on the market value but the dealer has the car sitting for over a month. In the end, the car was more than what I needed but the deal was a good one considering it is a hybrid and has all options. When all is said and done, the TL was a great car and I could have kept it and saved money but we all like to have nice things and the time was right. I had my TL for almost 6 years and I plan to keep the Q50 longer as it is a CPO with warranty up to 100k.

Edit: I now have cars with the two colors that are the hardest to keep clean

Pros:
Awesome factory sound system
MPG - 32.4 mpg over 2 tanks so far
powahhhhhh - 360 hp
The looks of course

Cons:
Run flats are a tad rough (will be replaced soon)
Small trunk due to the hybrid battery

Mods so far:

Debadged Hybrid logo on the fenders
OEM All weather floor mats
LED swap
Window Tint 35% front windows/limo tint everywhere else
Vinyl wrap chrome trim on the front grill
Decklid Spoiler (waiting to be installed)

Future Mods:
Wheels

The Q50 is by far one of the best looking "realistic" cars out there right now IMO.

Gorgeous, the all around camera is pretty cool, I've never actually seen the inside screen. Also, love how flush the big screen is.

Congrats! I had a Q50 as a loaner once and I really liked it. I've had my G for 6 years and plan to keep it another 3-4. This car has not given me any problems, after working out the "new car kinks". I think you'll enjoy driving the Q for a very long time. Enjoy, and welcome to Infinitizine!

edit: Oh. Aftermarket wheels are a good mod. The stockers are a bit too busy IMO. That is the one thing that I don't like about the car.

Lack of line breaks and paragraphs prevented reading of the OP prior to the edit, but the Q looks great. Congrats!

It was a great idea to wait a year until after the initial depreciation to get a Q50 hybrid. Too bad they are not AWD. Adding those electric motors for a boost is nice.

Congrats on the pickup, and that's a spicy S2000.....

Congrats! I'm sure you figured it out, but you can configure which active/passive driver aids are on normally/when you activate them on the wheel. It was a tough choice for me to not get Moonlight White when I got mine, but someone else I knew had one so I went with Graphite Shadow and haven't looked back. From following some pages on Instagram and being on the Q50 forum, Velgen makes some wheels that compliment the car really well. I need a square setup for AWD but I'm fine with the stock 19s.

My first choice of color was GS but my TL was anthracite and I felt as if I needed to switch up. I definitely was against silver and the Malbec black(purplish color). The MW popped up and I remember how much I liked the WDP TL. No regrets on the decision. I joined infinitiq50.org before I even got the car. The forum seems decent but nothing compared to acurazine. Enjoy your new Q!

Sick car and great pics. Both cars look awesome.

But yeah, I had to chuckle at getting old after I saw you're 29. Wait until you hit your 30's... you'll end up in a Cadillac or something.

Maybe I should have gone hybrid - usually getting around 22-23 with the 3.7

Excuse me while I go drive around listening to the tune of the Infiniti sport muffler.....

It sure is. I'm happy with car overall. I do lose folding rear seats and some trunk space with the hybrid but I consider it a small price to pay.

Thanks man. Maybe one day I'll end up with a V I considered the cts-v as well but the mpg numbers didn't sit well with me as I needed a daily driver. As for being old, I meant getting tired of being low and exhaust drone I just wanted something comfortable. With that said, I might getting some springs for the Q

I wasn't looking for a hybrid but I managed to score this one for a fair price and I have no regrets. Do you have any clips of the sports muffler? I have it on my xmas list

Wow those 0-60 times are amazing for such a large car. Excuse my ignorance, but are these AWD or RWD? I know noting about them.

Either RWD or AWD whether you go for 3.7 or the hybrid. When I worked at a dealership all they got were AWD models for NJ. But unfortunately you can only get the performance wheel package on RWD but only the tires are staggered sizes while the wheels are the same.

These are really all I have so far (on Flickr so you have to click for the video). I have to meet up with my friend one day and attach his GoPro to the rear bumper and drive around. The first two are right after the install, and the last one has close to 2000 miles on it. I love it compared to the stock muffler.

Ohhhh yeah I've seen your thread over there. Nice, yeah the sport muffler should have came with the car. I got mine a few months ago. Love it. I constantly get compliments on it, also confusion because it's a Hybrid and sounds like that. Most People still haven't figured out the Q-Hybrid is a performance Hybrid.
