I don't quite understand Mercedes Benz's pricing model for the new C-Class.
A loaded C300 4Matic is about the same price as a C400 4Matic missing a couple of things like air suspension but otherwise loaded. They're both about $56k.
It's amazing how close they are in price if you check all the options boxes. It's almost as if they're encouraging people to just step up to the C400 unless they're buying a stripper C300. I don't know why though.

Yup. Sport, Navigation, Lighting, Leather, Premium, and Driver's Assistance packages comes to like $56K.
The only one I'd probably not get is the BLIS package. That's about $53,500. The C400 is $56K so I would definitely pay the extra money for it.
But if you put the two cars side by side with the same options, they're within $1000 of each other in price.

That last tire made the video totally worth it, sound effects were very dramatic

The ones with the hourglass grill grafted onto existing models look pretty bad, I think. But the NX looks a lot more cohesive. Might be better with a slightly bigger wheel/tire package.
I was pretty disappointed that the Audi Q3 came to the states on the almost 10-year old Tiguan platform instead of the MQB. It's still a good looking small SUV and loaded it's "only" $40K.
I think the NX is going to have some tough competition with the Q3, X3, MKC, and GLA.
