F50

I'm surprised the F40 didn't sell for as much as the F50. Thought it was more well-liked in general.
Finally got a ride in a friend's new BRZ. Mostly shenanigans in a slightly snowy parking lot. Neither of us could stop giggling the whole time. Even from the passenger seat, the car feels worth every dollar. Enough performance to have fun but cheap enough to not be as OCD about it compared to a more upscale car. Hope to take one for a spin one day. |

If anything, the F40's price is a bit surprising since it had just under 7,500 miles. The F50's price is above average as well, but then again, the car was listed with 230 miles on it, so that's a pretty understandable price. |
Dat '53 Fiat

Some very nice cars there.

rumor swirling around (again) that the P1 lapped the 'Ring in around 6:30... remember the first rumored time was 6:33... but was never confirmed anywhere. then the 918 did it in 6:57 and people expected McLaren to say something... but they didn't... then they started speculating that maybe the P1 wasn't as fast as people thought it was ......... could it be possible that McLaren is playing around with everyone's heads?

6:30 :what:

Saw a new ATS yesterday. Not bad.
New coupe looks pretty good too. |
Just saw an ad for a 2009 S63 with 37,000 miles ... For $58K. That must have been at least a $130K car new. Horrific depreciation. But $58K for a S63 seems like quite a steal. And it's CPO (though I think MB CPO isn't all that great, IIRC).
|
have a look at the 2006 S65 - the one with the V12 twin turbo - 604 hp and 738 torque.
Sticker close to $200k. Going for into the 20's... :what: however, they are money pits. |

So, unless it is a Ferrari, McLaren, and etc., be happy some of these impressive cars can become "attainable" after a few years so long as you don't mind pre-owned. |
People who buy them off the lot don't care about depreciation. They never have to worry about fixing them because they never own them out of warranty. They're cheap because they're expensive to fix and the only people who want to buy them used aren't going to pay anywhere near sticker.

Yeah, that's what scares me about them. Not that I'd buy one. They're way too big for me :)
