The base model is slow. The Type S is slightly less slow.

Both are good cars, but if there is a Type S variant of any Acura, why would you even consider the base model??

If you're looking RWD, have you considered an IS300? They can be had with a clutch (if you're looking at the sedan, of course).

This is a pretty good option with either transmission. They'll go for 200K+ miles and generally are reliable. I think you can get one now for about $5000 with decent miles in a decent condition. Great option.

They don't drive them now, but two local "celebrities" here who are big property developers used to go around in NSXs all-year round in the early 2000s. I was told by the tire-shop guys that they'd slap on winters and off they go...

So, it is doable. But, then again, I've never seen any of 911 GT2s in winter. Summer, yes...there are a few that roam the city.
