i guess i understand your point...but performance wise there's no difference right? we're just talking about a cosmetic thing here. I'm thinking if the seams were glassed up on the gallardo it would be close enough to a real widebody for me not to care whats underneath.

while it looks cool, im going to have to stamp a "stupid" label on that job

while it makes sense to throw a widebody on a 350z and make it look cool, on an exotic, making a wide body throws a carefully tuned suspension out of wack (they engineer these cars with specific roll centers and such), and also throws away any careful aero design.

so you spend a ton of money on a car because of its driving characteristics (cause they are NOT lux), and then you modify it so it doesn't drive as well

Well then you're questioning modding any car, period. And in many cases I have to agree. Do you think Dave Hill had aftermarket twin-turbocharging in mind when designing the Z06? Hell no. Doing serious mods like that to purpose-built cars is seriously WRONG and shows an utter lack of respect for the makers of the car. But people do it anyway. And I'm a hypocrite, I do it too.

It's not as drastic as some other wide bodied cars, but it looks amazing nontheless. Look at the rotors
