There has been that type of buzz on the G boards, but mostly just speculation and "wouldn't it be awesome if..." type of posts. I'm sure it would be VERY easy for them to do, but it would probably cut into their sales of the other 4.5 liter offerings...especially since they just dumped a load of cash into revamping the M45...a notoriously poor seller to begin with...now, an M45 coupe would be PIMP.

If something like that ever happened, you'd find me at the local Infiniti Dealer.

Is that all it would take? Keeeerist! It took a look at the G to get me down there......and the lease on my CL-S to be up......and a massive wreck right before I got rid of it........

I bought a G on first site....then my CLS got wrecked before I could trade it in. I'm saying if a G45 AWD Coupe came out...I'd bid farewell to my G35.

Me too! But you mean to tell me you wouldn't be up for a 4.5 liter V8 AWD BEAST? Somehow, I don't believe you. :P

I think that will be the next GTR, not the turbo'ed V6 like everyone wishes...

I wouldn't mind it either way, frankly. The car will be badass no matter what. I'd certainly find a way to drive one of those...

I can shed a little light if anyone wants it?

Infiniti and Nissan were at odds for some months over this issue... finally, it is to be announced in the next month or so that Infiniti is going to add the Skyline GT-R to it's line.

It will be HIGHLY limited production and come in about $60-$80k as a twin turbo all wheel drive - now whether it makes it here with ALL it's HP or not, who knows... the US has a nasty habit of de-tuning cars for import.

This isn't exactly a G45 - but it's what is really coming according to our District Ops Manager

The G just came out, give it time.

Would be pretty sweet to cram that 4.5 liter into a two door.

Yea, making a G45 AWD would take away from an GTR Skyline if they ever get their act together and bring one over. Who knows, maybe they'll make a special edition Infiniti version, super-fast and super luxurious, now that would be a ride.

i v8 rear wheel drive coupe with 300-400 hp would be enough for me...with the G's sexy lines. I like the GTO for that reasons.

uhhh M45 is a luxury sedan

G45 would be a sporty/luxury coupe.

i'd say there is a difference. how could the coupe negate the sedan,

that's like saying the CL-S negates the TL-S since they both have the same engine and that acura shouldn't have made the TL-S or vice versa

I liked the 1st M45 the way was. I guess it was a little too pedestrain for most folks. This new one looks sharp. The tail lights are too big but I bet this car has big ones because that is what most cars will see. Helps you remember what car smoked you

I think smashing a big, heavy V8 into sport coupes is not the right way to go.

I'm hoping we go back to the days of using smaller, lighter engines with twin turbos instead. Much better for weight and balance and very easily tuned.

I miss the good old days of the 300ZX, Supra etc. I'm sure with today's technology you could use a small V6 with sequential turbos to really make some serious HP with very little weight.

However the G35 also comes in a sedan. They would compete against each other and tha would be just plain stupid. I'm sure we're all aware that the M45 is a sedan. Even having the coupe out there with the bigger engine (same as the M) could easily squash out already weak sales of the M45. It makes it so that if you want a bigger engine you have to go up to the Q or M. The M45 is marketed as a sport sedan and therefore it would be fair game against the G if it weren't for it's much larger engine and power advantage.
