There has been that type of buzz on the G boards, but mostly just speculation and "wouldn't it be awesome if..." type of posts. I'm sure it would be VERY easy for them to do, but it would probably cut into their sales of the other 4.5 liter offerings...especially since they just dumped a load of cash into revamping the M45...a notoriously poor seller to begin with...now, an M45 coupe would be PIMP.

I wouldn't mind it either way, frankly. The car will be badass no matter what. I'd certainly find a way to drive one of those...

I can shed a little light if anyone wants it?
Infiniti and Nissan were at odds for some months over this issue... finally, it is to be announced in the next month or so that Infiniti is going to add the Skyline GT-R to it's line.
It will be HIGHLY limited production and come in about $60-$80k as a twin turbo all wheel drive - now whether it makes it here with ALL it's HP or not, who knows... the US has a nasty habit of de-tuning cars for import.
This isn't exactly a G45 - but it's what is really coming according to our District Ops Manager

Yea, making a G45 AWD would take away from an GTR Skyline if they ever get their act together and bring one over. Who knows, maybe they'll make a special edition Infiniti version, super-fast and super luxurious, now that would be a ride.

G45 would be a sporty/luxury coupe.
i'd say there is a difference. how could the coupe negate the sedan,
that's like saying the CL-S negates the TL-S since they both have the same engine and that acura shouldn't have made the TL-S or vice versa

I liked the 1st M45 the way was. I guess it was a little too pedestrain for most folks. This new one looks sharp. The tail lights are too big but I bet this car has big ones because that is what most cars will see. Helps you remember what car smoked you

I think smashing a big, heavy V8 into sport coupes is not the right way to go.
I'm hoping we go back to the days of using smaller, lighter engines with twin turbos instead. Much better for weight and balance and very easily tuned.
I miss the good old days of the 300ZX, Supra etc. I'm sure with today's technology you could use a small V6 with sequential turbos to really make some serious HP with very little weight.
