G35x vs. c300 4matic vs. 328xi
Yes...another one of THESE threads
I'm looking to replace my 350z with something a bit more practical and comfortable...the Z is awesome, but the stiff suspension hurts my back after long trips, and its kind of a drag in traffic.
My priorities for a potential new car are:
- comfort
- Luxary/cool toys
- performance
Thoughts on these three? And no, a 335 is not an option (I wont need the power)

If I had to chose, prob would go with the G35x. iTimmy might have better input here. And I scarily admit concurrence with water, the interior of the new C is sub-par relative to the competition.
You really can't go wrong though with any of your choices.

I LOVE the way the new C looks, but the performance is definatly not great (though not terrible...7 second 0-60 is ok for me).
I LOVE the performance of the G, but the looks take a bit getting used to
I LOVE the engineering of the 328, but i would fucking HATE to own one, and risk turning into a beemer dude ("yeah, check out my ULTIMATE DRIVING MACHINE")

I liked the C until I drove it. Looks really cheap.

it was a few years ago and I just don't remember. If I wanted a spacious vehicle and I felt I had to have AWD I would probably go with a CRV, if you can live with FWD only the new Accord is HUGE inside in relation to the size of the car. Of the cars listed I'd probably pick the G35X over the 325Xi with the benz in last place.

LOL, I was all ready to just tear the thread starter a new one for ANOTHER of these vs. threads, but you cut me off at the knees with that first statement. Well done.
For the cars in question, I only have two things to say:
1. Drive and examine them all very closely.
2. If you decide on one of the Germans, buy the longest, most airtight FACTORY extended warranty you can get your hands on.
A friend of mine had a seat go bad on her '06 750i, and it required replacement.
Several thousand dollars. She had the warranty, and gets all misty eyed when she considers what would be if she didn't.
the C-class is starting to grow on me again... It would be a tough choice between the C and the G, but for a little more there's the Audi A4 3.2 Quattro (if you don't mind other suggestions that is)

End of the thread.
Like all the cars on this comparison test, in isolation the G35 feels like a winner, but it only takes a drive in the 328i to understand why the Infiniti is second best.

If you're on the fence over this car and that is your only concern, counter that with the thought you can have all your maintenance done free for the period of the warranty. That's a gigantic plus for me. When my car goes in, I get new wiper blades, oil change, brake pads, whatever, done for $0! As a friend of mine said, "ya can't beat free."

So you care about what others think about you?

That comment was very snobbery as it is. See you dont need to own a BMW to look like a snob.

Some of the people go with a 323i/325i because it uses BMW's alusil (aluminum + silicone alloy I think) engine block, which is lighter. The 335i uses an iron block to withstand F/I reliably. Plenty of power and it handles very well, but people who autox would definitely choose a 323i over a 335i. Of course there are those that buy it simply because its cheaper, but you can't generalize everyone.
