With all those phuckin options the price skyrockets. WTF???!!! Nissan and there phuckin options list are :ghey: What a turn off. A cls 6spd is a way better value, supercharger, headers, exhuast, cai still wont reach 40k and you out class a g35c except for handling. I can't justify a 40k price tag with a g35c and it being a nissan/infiniti product that looses value WAY too quickly. :pfawk:

acura does have a fantastic niche on this market with their pricing and the lack of stupid options....with acura its all there!! i love that!! also, think about this guys, how many dickhead infinity dealerships are going to chare a "market adjustment surcharge" of like 3-5 thousand because its a new hot car??? just like the 350Z in some markets had a huge mark up....how ridiculous

I'd spend the extra $ and go for the BMW. I wasn't too impressed with the G35 sedan and I doubt the coupe will be all that either. I mean it's a nice car, but there was just something I didn't like about the sedan when I test drove it, besides the looks. Plus, I don't think I'd want another first year car, but we'll see when it comes out.
The G35 has a lot more features than the CL-S when you add the premium package, sunroof and xenons. And the bose is included in the premium package. Don't even factor in the aero or sport packages since they aren't available on the CL-S. Sure, the Type S is the sport package but we are already comparing the CL-S to the G35, not the CL-P since it doesn't compare horsepower wise. And the G35 (without sport package) will out-perform the CL-S.
However, the CL-S does have a few features the G35 does not (memory mirrors, mirror tilt in reverse). I made a list of all the features the CL-S has that the G35 doesn't and vice versa. The list for the G35 was like 15-20 items and the CL-S was like 4-5 items. Don't ask me to list them all because I have since had my computer crash on me and I lost the document I had created.
So, it's not fair to say that the CL-S gives you the same for less because it doesn't. And you can't buy piece of mind (see my sig and you know what I'm talking about). It could be a matter of "you get what you pay for".

The G35 coupe is indeed a very nice car... but if i had to choose between G35C and CLS i'd still choose the CLS cause the G35C is way to luxurious for a kid like me.... maybe when i am like 30 something.. then that is the right time for me to drive the G35C
To be honest with you folks, I was dead set on getting a G35C.
I did a lot of research on the car... and put a deposit for it at two dealerships.
I was #2 on the list and the dealer called me and said I'd have to pay $2K over MSRP. I was stunned. I also have VPP (Vehicle Purchase Program) from Nissan which gives the car at 1.5% over invoice.
This would put the car (equipped with Navi, Premium and Sport Package and HID lights) at ~$40K!!! Plus, I have to pay tax+license.
Knowing I am losing at least $5-$6K immediateley driving off the lot... I didn't pursue the G35C.
Recently the dealer offered me the car exactly at MSRP. I don't think I'd buy it for that either.
The CL-S 6spd is a much more limited-edition car.
Honestly, I think the G35C looks really good... much better "stock to stock", but stepping back I think I made the correct purchase. I paid $30300 for the CL-S 6spd with navi. I think I can sell the car with 10K miles next year for $29K at least.
