G35 coupe = Niiiiice!
If I had to choose between my CLS and the G35 coupe right now I would DEFINITELY choose the G35! Why?? The biggest reason is because Infiniti knows what the enthusiast driver wants!! Plus, they offer a lot of options, like 18" sport tires and rims, underbody spoiler kit, and packages that you can add on to customize your car!!!! Acura, get your shit together and learn from Infiniti!!! My next car will most definitely be the G35 coupe of the FX45...

Even if Acura does come out with the next gen CLS (doubtful), it will still be based off the Accord platform. A good platform for comfort but hardly a sports car. Honda needs a new RWD platform now to keep up with Lexus, Infiniti, and BMW. Maybe AWD will happen

Where did you get those pics? Do you know the story behind them?
I just think it's odd that there's a 2001 BMW 330Ci (notice it has the yellow lenses, 2002 comes with clears from the factory) with no front plate, but still has the plate bracket.
Then perfectly spaced, we see a new G35 Coupe (which won't be out until November), an '03 CL-S, another 330Ci, and then what appears to be another G35......
So what's the deal with that? What's the story?

Ok, I found out......A guy who hangs out on Edmunds.com took these photos at his work (the cars were in the parking lot). It was part of an Infiniti focus group opinion survey, nobody was allowed near the cars. The G35C in the photos is a base model car (17in wheels, no Brembos, no Sports package).

Why don't they use the S2000 platform for another sports car ??

That coupe sure looks sweet...
Attention Acura: You just lost the finals by 4-1 -- time to get going on their "rebuilding" season...
Attention Acura #2: Take a cue (or get a clue) and offer the nice wheels, brakes, goodies, like the Infiniti. A robust and overbuilt transmission would be a nice start.
IMO, the pictures are quite tasty over at:

Plus the thing is fuglier than the Aztec. (My $.02).

I think the car is kinda ugly, it looks too much like the product of a aztek/audi/chrysler/lexus/some other gangbang. Granted, it does have awesome options, but then again, wouldn't you have to pay more for the options? If that's the case then why's everyone complaining about the acura? Of course it might be more of a bitch to buy it seperately and get it installed..but some people make it seem if you can't get it with the car, then you're screwed...
For those of you who say the G35C is better lookin than your 2nd gen CL, I totally agree, you 2nd gens have ugly lookin cars I'd take my first gen over the 2nd gen and G35C anyday ...

Am I the only one who likes the sedan more than the coupe??!?? Actually I am not too wild about either cars but I hate the rear of the coupe. It has a FAT ass. It's horrible. Then again, when I saw the car at the NY show, I din't notice the ass...I guess I have to see it again...

Thats what lots of people said about the Supra when it first came out, along with the C5 Vette......and both seemed to grown on most individuals (unlike the Aztec).

There are more than a few cars that look better with time. When you see the car being shown from all angles in the manufacturer’s ads., that is a good sign….
Aztec, HUH? (IMO, that's the ultimate car insult [well, perhaps])
Aztec, I need to upchuck... and there is a reason it wont be around. (I'm also one of those people that don’t care for a PT Loser (come on, breaking it off in people with an extra $4K to get a modified Neon with “different topping”... yeah, sure .. not in vogue anymore…)
I think Nissan/Infiniti will make a few, and it's not like there is going to be a "limited run" going... So, there should be plenty of time to see how it stacks up (check-it out in a year or two to see if the seats fall out [fill-in your automotive defect/crime here])
RE: Factory Options -- It's better to have them for a car, especially when a car has some "problems". At least you don't have to run into some "dumb-ass" service rep BS'ing you about not wanting to warranty the car with a few minor mods... I spent more time on the phone with Acura about wider/different tires than I care to remember (At the time I was considered a heretic for suggesting 235/45-17 rubber) IMO, more options better than less options...
