G35 Garbage

My friend recently got a G35 Sedan (should have gone with the coupe) and figured this would be better so she could transport more people at a time. She made a poor choice even after I strongly encouraged her to go with a TL-S so she would have her space, so now she hears about it every day. Also, she has started requesting rides from me in the CL-S since she is realizing what a quality car it is. Fast and Furious but very luxurious all at the same time. No comparison .. Acura CLS/TLS = SOLID, INFINITI G35 Sedan = pitiful. Why would you want anything else?

No offense to any Infiniti owners. After all, it probably wasn't up to you, it was what your wife wanted right?.

Your opinion is too extreme and too subjective. My family has both G35 sedan and CL(not a Type S), we love both of them and never regret buying any of them. True, CL has a bigger trunk space than G35, but G35 has bigger interior especially the back seat. G35 is noisier and we can hear the engine soars even when we push a little on the accelerator but that's the good point that attracts me, if we want a quiet sedan we would have gone for Lexus ES300 instead. G35 is not the best handling car, not the fastest car, not the most comfortable car, not the most luxurious car, not the most affordable car, however, it is pretty balanced in every area and we like the compromise that Infiniti make on this car.

Even you love your car so much, try to respect the other cars, engineers have spent lots and lots of time developing them, although they might not suit your taste. No car in the current auto market is garbage.

Hmm .. I see why you are speaking so highly of the G35. Not to downgrade you or your property, but since you have your entire family's cars listed on your signature, I couldn't help but notice that the Infiniti is the newest of the vehicles and the most expensive as well. Now, if you have ever driven a 2003 CL-S you would see what I am saying. It is not the same as your sister's 2001 CL. And yes, companies have put a lot of work and time into their cars (sorry for using such a harsh word - garbage) but Acura must have just put a little bit more effort into it? But, I'm probably wrong. Sorry if I insulted you.

Infinity/Nissan has one of the most solid powerplants out there...not to mention, this 'piece of garbage' you speak of is still made in Japan...probably 10x tighter than our CL's & will stay tighter, longer. Use the search & enter "squeaks/rattles, etc" & you'll fing a ton of threads...

I own 2 CLS... both are rattle hogs...

Didn't Ford focus SVT get good reviews on C&D not too long ago? I could be wrong but I swore I heard them getting good remarks and being on some top 5 or 10 of something?

Yes it has been in tht top 10 car and driver for at least 2 years. But that does NOT include all the recalls the car had already.

What? THe Focus is one of the best cars under 20k. It's the best selling car in the United Kingdom. It's a 10 best winner for the last 4 years. It is a great car. Korean cars have improved ten-fold. They offer great warrenties and some of the same features for a cheaper price. Not unlike the Japanese 20 years ago.

I have a hard time with people who hate on a car just because it's not your taste. I've never been in a G35, but I have a feeling they have something going for them...I mean, people ARE buying them. If they are really garbage then people wouldn't buy them.

Sick, I like what you said in defense of the Focus. It's a good car that has been getting good reviews. I'm glad to see Ford making the effort to put out a decent compact that the world seems to be accepting. The rest of the world generally doesn't like American cars.

I think infiniti/nissan is doing some great things with the G and Z. Although I don't like the max its been a winner for them for a while now. The G is defintely not garbage and I agree there are garbage cars out there...not many but a few.

I'm sure the focus is a good car but I'd hate to be driving one everyday! My buddy's sephia felt more solid and safer than the focus my girl had while her car was in the shop.

But i think HE was talking out of the other end again about 03 being better then the 01 QUALITY wise.... which made no sense.

I think that would solve many lame thread revivals.

HAHA!!! I owned a 97 Pontiac GTP...you've never heard rattles until you drove that car...my bro-in-law had an 01 GTP...had to shove socks into the door hinge area to stop the squeaks...

And...no one was really bitching...this thread was posted by a newb-troller-flamer 6 months ago...but, my CLS's DO rattle. My older Nissans NEVER rattled(worst I ever had was a thump from a spring which I fixed). So, it's my experience & I think I'm allowed to share it.
