no possible way a tl-s can beat a g35 coupe. not a chance in hell. i think the monkey driving the g35 should head on back to the infiniti dealer and hand over the keys. that punk aint worthy of owning that machine. i own an acura tl, but i respect the fact that i couldnt touch a g35, and im ok with that.

 

Of course 14.2 is a good number for a bone stock car. Do you think i don't realise that. All i'am saying is that he is trying to clown us 2nd gens but you didn't see that. And like i said before if we were down south like he is and with my mods i would turn some really good numbers also.

I never raced a G35 of any kind...I would mind, but I'm not much of a racer no more...I could careless...truthfully I just think our TL-S's look a lot better than the G35's. I mean the G35 is still a very good car and I wouldn't mind owning one, but I would never trade my TL-S in for a G35. I would rather try to get a G35 and keep my TL-Sn (Of course, this is only if I ever had the money). Well I careless truthfully if people think, know, claim, say, and swear that the TL-S is slower than the G35...Who the f*ck cares! I mean both are very excellent cars and deserve respect in their own respective ways. That is all.

 

The G35 Coupe stock is faster than a modified TLS, plus it can out conner a TLS and is RWD. I don't buy it for minute that the TLS would beat it. Lets not over do it guy. The guy in the G35 probably could not drive is car to the limit.

i've got 2 friends with g35's, an auto sedan and a 6spd coupe. all i need now is a very large empty parking lot and i can have my very own road and track comparo.

 

I dont know about everyone else, but I defenitely agree with you. Two of my best friends, one owns a 03 6 speed Z and the other owns a 03 G35 Coupe automatic, and off the line up till about 75 we keep up, after that, they just start inching ahead, and by the time we're in 4th gear, we're toast. And, we race consistently and these results are the same everytime. So I'm having a hard time swallowing this story.

 

My friend has a G35 sedan auto, and my TL-S (havent raced him in the 04 yet) pulls on him from 70-110 mph. The TL-S has a very strong 3rd gear that can keep up and beat some very fast cars (can also beat my friends 97 M3 auto and other friends 330 ci 5-speed).
But, you all know about 4th gear.

 

Half of you guys that have responded to this thread don't even have the same mods as me and maybe can't drive as good as i can. Just remember sometime it's all about the driver and the launch!!!

a g35 MANUAL coupe has a 14.2 quarter mile time .... so if the guy's g35 was auto and 1fasttl has all the mods he claims, its definitly possible he beat the g35

Just realize you beat the driver not the car. His torque advantage should make it a pretty close race unless he screws up, which it sounds like he did.

Thanks for the compliment. I never said I hated the TL, I originally wanted one until I saw the infiniti at a car show. As a matter of fact I joined this forum long before the G35 was out, a little longer then you have been here. I still do a double take every time I see one on the road though. The style of the G just really appealed to me. But as far as forums go, A-TL.com is still #1 to me, the "NWS" threads are priceless.

And you run high 14's completely stock? If so that is pretty impressive, I don't want to continue the back and forth flaming but to be honest 1fasttl, I don't think it would even be a drivers race between me and you.
