Fuel Injector Cleaner???

Fuel Injector Cleaner???
Got a buddy that has an 05 WRX with around 20k miles and has only used good gas stations, he also uses a octane booster quite a bit as well. The car is not reaching full boost and seems to be sputtering quite a bit as well. He is thinking the injectors might be a little clogged, do those OTC injector cleaners actually work?

Hard to say from your brief description of the symptoms, but I would check the plugs for misfiring. Pull out the plugs, examine for deposits and visual indicators, I would just install a new set unless they're already quite new ...maybe gap them down a tad lower, I don't know how Subies are, in many turbo cars a tighter gap & colder range plug by one step works much better than stock plugs at elevated boost.
I've used BG44K and it's excellent ...so much so that I never even tried anything else, but I have heard of a couple other good ones too. I'm sticking with the proven product. A local Nissan dealer here stocks BG44K in the parts department so you might find it locally if you call/look around.

Gumout regane is the best OTC product IMO, BG44K is great as I originally stated. You will notice a nice difference in engine smoothness, acceleration and even sound after using it. You engine will pur like a kitten. Regane has very similiar effects and is much cheaper. I have tried them all and I always go back to 1 of these 2.
