1% of the trucks have the defect of glue that gets brittle under certain conditions. Sure thing.

They sold 40000 Cybercucks last year so you have a 1 in 400 chance that a giant piece of sharp stainless steel is going to come flying off of one of them when going 70mph down the highway. Is that a chance you want to take?

Also, my comment was more so to the Tesla cucks on here that think this rolling dumpster has anything resembling an exoskeleton. It's just a normal unibody crossover like a Bronco Sport underneath that shitty exterior. All of the other EV trucks on the market (yes, including Rivian) are body on frame.

I wasn't poking fun at your comment, just at the article itself.
And honestly, if they used inferior glue, it'll be an issue eventually no matter what. Ask 3G TL Dash owners.

Congrats!! I'm jealous, that's what I really wanted to get into, but the leases weren't great in VA (dumb tax structure for leases). I see it's the Performance Pack, what else?

Thanks!

It's a launch edition with plus, performance, and all the shit. Gold brake rotors and seat belts. It's been a blast to drive and the interior is enormous.

Nice ride! Looks

Just make sure that Geely (Chinese owner of Volvo, Lotus, etc.) isn't scrapping your data.

If you're on the internet, your data is already scraped.

Point well-taken.

But one's driving, location, and facial recognition data? By a Chinese-owned subsidiary?

So update on the car. The software if pretty glitchy. Things just randomly don't work. That being said, almost all of them are easily worked around.

The car is a dream to drive. it has a bazillion speakers and a much better suspension than any car I have ever had.

It's for from perfect but it's definitely still worth leaving the swastikar.

I've read that about the software. I've also read that the seats are amazing, and the stereo is one of the best in a vehicle. I think (hope) they work the kinks out.

So far not good. My wife is pretty furious with how bad the digital keys have been. Also it randomly doesn't charge. We'll see what happens

I had issues with the digital keys with my truck as well. The service center did a full hard reset (unplugged the 12V battery for 6 hours or something) and it has been flawless ever since. Something to maybe bring up with your dealership?

it's been at the dealership 2.5 weeks out of the first 4 we have owned it.

We're looking at potentially pursuing legal action.

wait, you and Sam both have rivian, or you both have polestars? Or you guys are just comparing proximity keys woes but with your respective vehicles?

Ok, for some reason the way I read that message I thought you both ended up with the same vehicle and I couldn’t figure out what I had missed. I did see you’re having issues, that’s a shame.

Honestly, the lease is pretty short and if it were my car I would probably just live with it, but it's my wife's car and she can't tolerate it and it becomes just more stressful for me.

The car is a dream from the second you go into drive until you put it in park at your destination. Dare I say it's even better than my BMW on that front.

I’m glad you’re enjoying the drive, just a shame that you spent a bunch of money and you’re not completely happy (even if it is via spouse). I hope it all gets sorted out soon.

Yeah we'll see. It's a little weird because the issues are all software and when talking with the lawyers it is kind of a concern that the car is fine but the software is unreliable.

yeah, I get them trying to snake out of it, but it’s their hardware and their software. It’s not like you built yourself a cool gaming PC installed windows and you keep crashing or rebooting.

good luck, hopefully those issues get worked out, or you can bail out.
