That is rediculous. He could probably light it up in any gear at any speed (dpends on the gearing though). What size tires does he have on the rear to even try and put that power down?

- these are just videos of the car, doesn't have the dyno run yet but he said it should be posted soon. He said these videos are worth downloading for the sound alone...ok all of these should work... but I didn't check them all.

and here's the 209mph run I mentioned earlier, back when his car was "only" supercharged and making like 3/4 of the power it makes now:

a few notes from the owner of the car:
Hey all, I just got back from some minimal throttle input, light load, low boost tuning and I have to say the car is Un-Fucking-Believable!
I think on some of the last couple of runs, I had about 42% throttle input and around 6 PSI and the car pulled harder than my supercharger ever did: LIKE A FREIGHT TRAIN THAT NEVER STOPS!
I am blown away and cannot believe it, like a never ending surge.
I can hear the turbos whooshing before I am even out of vacuum!
The temperature ranged from 78 to 83 degrees.
Everything is so different and so fucking BAD-ASS!
I am going out for some more on my favorite stretches of road for some more mental overlays!

here is the interesting thing, as soon as the boost started to building(quickly, I might add), I had to start easing off the gas pedal to not have it blow past the 8PSI boost cut instantly. I had to try to keep it at 3-5 PSI so I could keep pulling the gear I was in.
As far as how much boost the engine was built to handle, Jason Heffner did such a good job building the motor and gives such a good warranty that he will cover even 30+ PSI for free! He is one heck of a nice guy and quite a confident tuner! (Just kidding here Jason! )
Seriously, though the motor has all the best stuff in it and should be able to handle considerably more than what some bone stock Viper motors have done which is about 20 PSI with the AEM and a good tuner.
I am sorry my friends have not yet posted the videos yet but I did have my phone on me all day and nobody here called me volunteering to host the videos I took today! Eric Jones should have them up tomorrow sometime!
One more thing, When I went out the second time, I faced one of the biggest temptations of my life........
I was going east bound and about 30 crotch rocket bikes coming from the south all made a u-turn to go back south.... It would have been so easy follow my instincts to make a right hand turn using from the far left lane using all 4 lanes for relaitvely larger radius curve than is allowed by law to a nice 60-65 MPH merge into the traffic and spank those bikes....
Two things stopped me:
1. I did not hook up the seat belt or 6-point harness for this very reason.
2. I worked too long and hard to possibly have a problem if I exceeded the resolution of the map we have tuned so far.....

When I get into the boost, all I hear is whooooooshhhhhhhhhhhhhh. The engine sound goes away.
I remember seeing Chad's car in Bradenton which was fairly loud at idle but by the time he hit 3rd gear you could not hear a thing from the starting line. The car got dead silent.
I now think I have an idea of what Big Chad was hearing in 3rd and 4th gears!

It is more of a hypnotizing kind of speed where it is pulling so mother F'ing hard and you realize you are 165+ and have not yet mounted the 6-point harness and the seat is too far back and you can barely reach the pedals anymore but it is still pulling!
oops
Larry @ SP, How could you do this to me?????????
Hey all I am just breaking Larry's balls for a moment here but something came to my attention on a 4th gear pull on the way home from the dyno........
I was doing a 4th gear pull(without seat belts or 6-point harnesses{so I would not get crazy==>yeah right}) and I started to slide back from the car pulling like my favorite freight train I started to not be able to reach the pedals as well but the car still kept pulling and I had trouble reaching the brake pedal.........Well it seems that Larry must have moved the seat back so he would be comfortable while he was tuning, Do you belive the nerve of this guy??????
When I got home, I immediately put the 6-point harness back in the driver side and actually installed the passenger side 6-point to boot. I know Tommy Lahr will be so relieved. He always bitched how I had the racing harness and he had the regular old seat belt.
I was warned to put the windshield wipers back on by a friend but forgot.
So I finally went out at around 10:30.
I made a solid 10 PSI pull that was so scary fast, I can only imagine what it would feel like running 20-30 PSI.
Then it started to drizzle..... No windshield wipers, too much power for conditions, Game Over for the night.
I will be taking my local Viper brothers for rides tomorrow night.
We WILL get this on Video! Goodnight!

If he was only running 10 PSI or something, I will shit myself, but I have a feeling it was closer to 20.

ok the title of this thread is completely wrong. my bad. it is NOT a Heffner car - that is what he used to have. This TT setup is his own conception and design, and he is marketing it as a custom TT kit for GTS, RT/10, and SRT/10 Vipers... it is currently the record-holder for the most power and torque any Viper has made, with this configuration, in the world.
umm.. can a mod change this thread title to:
"friend just dynoed his custom Viper GTS TT"
kthx

viper guys use some weird codecs, lol.
oops ok fine, I guess my first thread title wasn't "completely wrong"... the motor of this car was tuned by Heffner, along with I would imagine other things - it's the turbo kit that is the custom piece.

the need for speed.........
