have you guys heard of those companies who give you a car for free. The catch is that the car is taped with all kind of ads.

Do you know where I can get something like this in Los Angeles?

 

I signed up for one of those things a few years ago for shits and giggles, but then the company that was doing it went away.

 

so.... you got to keep the car?

Nah I never actually got a car, I signed up but they never contacted me again and after a while I guess the company closed down or something.

IIRC, they would give you a leased car for a year or two free and wrap the whole car with an advertisement. Or they would pay you monthly to wrap your own car with an ad. They mainly asked where you parked during the day, how many miles you drove each month, how frequently, if you drive in a highly populated region etc. Basically they want to know how much exposure they can get from you.

But the possibilities of you actually getting accepted for a free car to drive are very small chance. Also when I signed up it was free now most of them now charge a fee to get you into one of their “lists.”
