Didn't they reason that it would be way too expensive if it was ever brought over here? Same deal as the Mondeo?

The Insignia is pretty sweet looking.

The Aurion is basically a Camry with a few tweaks to the inside and outside.

alfas. Mostly the GT, brera, spider, and 8C. Although I probably wouldn't buy one, they would be nice eye candy.

maybe ford mondeo, honda civic, fiat 500

and it looks much better externally.

As far as the Ford Falcon, with Tommy. Ford is likely a little shy about importing their foreign makes into the US....particularly after the Merkur (and later Mondeo) experiment. The XR4Ti stickered at $34k back in 1988 OR $56k in 2008 dollars...and I would be hard pressed to get a $56k Falcon when I could get a fairly well equipped 535i for similar money.

Hopefully the current Alfas are better than what was here in the 80s (i.e.: Milano): BMW prices for 1G Hyundai quality.

I think they're still pretty unreliable, but Alfa is working on making their cars better. They realize they won't sell unless they're reliable.

The Subaru S402 in wagon and sedan form......
