Floor Jack

So I'm looking to buy a nice sturdy floor jack and some good jack stands. I've got a CL so obviously I dont like to buy crap. What's a good brand that will last me a while and what sorts of things should i look for when buying one?

the 3 ton craftsman works well. also any other 2 ton jack will do. i have had cheap ones and used expensive ones. i prefer the cheap ones b/c they do the same job and most jackstands are pretty much the same unless you buy something heavy duty

i have craftsman 3 ton hi lift model (22" lift ) stated for use with sport /ute vehicles . i dont know about that however with the extended lift, my car stands will fit directly under the center support flanges when jacking at the rear lift point.
decent quality , i think i paid about $50 for this unit , 2 years ago

Don’t skimp when it comes to buying a floor jack.
Get a big one with a 20" plus lift.
Then you can do the entire FRONT or REAR at one time.

Forgive my ignorance, but can someone take a pic/describe in detail some good spots to jack a CL up...front/rear... Seems like every time I do it I am reinventing the wheel...

is 20" enough to slip the jack stands (2 clicks up) under?

I don’t know about the “2-clicks”, but yes I can put the jack stands under the factory lift points when jacking from the front.

I got this set for $99 on sale. Usually 150. My seat is a little different. The PVC protective fender mat is junk.

"3 ton service jack with 3 ton stands, 8 ft. booster cables, 4 way lug wrench, wheel chocks, PVC protective fender mat and Craftsman 51167 mechanic's seat. "

Father's Day Sale last year.

The wheel chocks are nice. They have a rubber sole.

I have not used the 4 way lug. I think it is only standard, not metric?

The seat is not high-end, but works great.

Blue-Point through Snap-On sells the sickest floor jack and jack stand combination.

can you raise the rear high enough to put jack stands at the factory lift points using your floor jack on the rear tow loop, shawn?

my current floor jack can't, so I'm looking for a replacement.
