Flood damage...10k to fix a TSX!!!
one of my co-worker's TSX got flooded badly in the tornado/storm yesterday in Toronto
the flood was crazy, and i saw not only cars, but SUV and minivans died in water too, saw a new MDX dead in the water
and he got trapped in the car with water and he had to escape from the moonroof, the doors got stucked by pressure
and today he brought the car to Acura and it needs 10000 dollars to fix that
i don't think insurance is going to cover that right? there were lots of cars got flooded and that's a lot of money if insurance is not covering
also what will the title of the car after it's fixed? i heard it's even worse than a salvage title
anyone can confirm that?

As some people on the board know, my TL-S was in a bad flood last September. Acura of Valley Stream had to replace all the computers (there are over ten), put in a brand new interior because water got inside the car, and replace the airbags because they deployed due to the computer failure. The car had about $12k in damage, but since the car was only a year and a half old at that point they decided to fix it. My insurance covered the whole thing and it went up a decent amount.
I don't know about the condition of the title at that point, but all I know is that my car is still alive and kicking as we speak.
