I had a 2006 6i that I bought new and traded with 102,611 miles. All trouble free! Probably the best car I've owned, the most reliable anyway.

Good luck!

Wha? The RDX antenna fits the Mazda6? I'm not a fan of the antenna on my MS6 either. Please inform me!

Hmm, I'm looking at my antenna now and it appears like it is already stubby. Weird.

^ Wow that was a nice 6! Why did you get rid of it? Not happy with your current TL-S?

I just bought a MS6 a few weeks ago. Really enjoying it!

What are MS6 Hatch springs? Do you mean MS3? Like suspension springs?

There was never a Mazdaspeed6 hatchback, that's why I was wondering if you maybe meant Mazdaspeed3 since they're all hatches.

But for your car at this point, SPRINGS > CBE > Lip Spoiler

You need lower it about 1-1.5 inches like right now. That should be the first priority!

Is H&R springs known for pretty good ride on the regular Mazda 6? Make sure you read up on the stuff before you get them!

I'm stuck in limbo as far as moving back into a mazda and going for the new speed3 or used speed6. I really would love either.

I used to own a 95' 626 w/v6 and man I loved that car.

However, my wife is test driving a 2011 MDX this weekend, so we will see how my income to debt ratio is on monday before I can even think of myself.

That's interesting. I had Eibach springs (Pro-Kits & then Sportlines) on my Accord and they both were very comfy and as plush as stock springs, and according to your research that's how they are supposed to be on the Mazda6, but I've read they're harsh and bumpy on the Mazdaspeed6. Weird.

Can't wait to see it when it's dropped!

yea I know. It's weird how some of the things on the regular 6 and the speed 6 are different. Maybe its because of the weight

thats what I hear some of the 6 crew guys saying.

Mazda6 and Mazdaspeed6 are totally different cars..

The Eibach springs are supposed to be extremely harsh on ride for Mazdaspeed3. It varies upon the model I guess.

I shopped the 1st and 2nd gen Mazdaspeed3s and the Mazdaspeed6. Performance-wise they're nearly identical unless you're pushing the car to it's absolute limits. Obviously with the Speed6 having AWD it has an advantage in high speed cornering and grip at launch, but the Speed3 is lighter and more nimble in everyday driving. When pushed they both feel like quick cars and are a lot of fun to drive.

Not sure where you live but if you have any kind of snow the Speed6 is going to have an advantage with AWD of course. I'm sure the Speed3 probably isn't that bad in the snow either though since it's FWD but I have no idea just assuming.

I ended up buying the Speed6 simply because I needed the extra room in the back seat. The Speed6 has literally an inch more room which enabled me to get our baby seat in there comfortably, unlike the Speed3 which I would have had to move my seat up each time I put the baby seat in. If space was not an issue I'd be driving a Speed3 right now (although I'm glad I ended up waiting for the right Speed6 to come along now that I have it!).

The only other thing I can say is you're likely to find a better deal on a Speed6 in the used market. The Speed3s I was shopping were consistently priced $3,000-$5,000 more than the Speed6. The toughest part in buying a Speed6 is finding one with low miles that hasn't been abused.

Yeah, I know they're totally different cars, but I thought Eibach was more consistent in their ride quality across the board, not just in particular models.

^ That's what I thought too.

Maybe the spring rates are more aggressive for speed models. I mean if you really want to get a quality set up, you need to have better shocks to match the springs anyway.

Swapping out a stock springs for a set of lowering springs on stock shocks won't enhance your ride quality...

You just can't blame that on Eibach. It is a quality company.

I don't think anyone's blaming Eibach for it, we're just saying on other models you can swap out your springs and keep the stock shocks and have ** as good ** ride quality as stock. I used my stock shocks on my Accord with the Pro-Kits and they rode really, really nicely. I would have used them on the Sportlines as well but I ended up getting a good deal on some HFP shocks already attached to them. I'm like Kevin, 99% of the reason for dropping my car is for looks, not performance. You know, just like choosing wheels for looks over performance.
