Flipster23's Move to MazdaZine **Updated: 07/02/2012**
So for about a year or so I have been wanting a Mazda 3 or 6. My TL has been giving me problems so I went to the dealer just to see what they where talking about last Monday. Was going to pick up another car but I didnt get approved for what they were asking for it, so I saw a Mazda 6 on the lot.. Thought to myself maybe this is my chance. Drove it fell in love with it. handling was amazing 4 cyl and takes 87 which is a biggie for me...
Got approved for the Mazda and told them I would sleep on it. Last Friday I picked up my Onyx Black 2008 Mazda 6 sedan. auto 4 cyl
So far i'm loving the car already have some mods in mind for it. So I will be making this my progress thread for the 6 which will be this thread I guess.
Within the next week I will be taking more pictures and installing LED's and start looking for a sport bumper..
as for now here is some quick pics car is pretty dirty and nothing has been done to it yet since I havent had a chance to take anything off.

Looks good in black. For some reason I always see them in white, red, and grey. I have not seen many black ones actually.

Car looks great, I think it can look fantastic with just a few simple mods.

Then I graduated and got myself a job. I always wanted to have a small manual turbocharged 4 banger hatchback that is easy/affordable to mod. I cross shopped MS3, GTI, and MiniS, and was impressed with the MS3.. so I bought it myself. I've been fully satisfied with it.

i dont think he downgraded...
like mentioned, its a newer car, with less miles and more than likely still under warranty...
i woulndt have made the switch unless it was a Speed3 or Speed6 personally but OP likes the car obviously. good for you bud

meh im not a fan of the engine noise or interior quality of any mazdas. ive driven both my ex gfs 3 and friends 4cyl 6. wasnt impressed at all.
but agreed, it will def have less problems and better gas mileage than the TL. nice pick up. congrats

You and me are the opposite of what we've done. I came from a 2007 Silver Mazda 6 to a 2003 Silver Acura TL. I gave the mazda to my little sister. The crazy thing is, the mazda has a bigger gas tank I believe and my sister spent more than me to fill it up all the way versus my tl. She spent $70 for 87 to fill her up and I spent $55 to fill mine up. And when I drive, I hit vtec all the time. Probably bad for the car, but she fills hers up 2.5 times in 2 weeks where i fill mine 1.5 times in 2 weeks. And she drives like a grandma. Anyway, good luck on the car. Go on to mazda6club.com they are really helpful there. If you are parting out your car still, let me know. Even if it's a swap for my old ones. Like, if you have lowering springs, i'll trade you my stock ones for them. Just PM what you have and maybe we can work something out.
