wow... so much hostility... i was just wondering where i could get a bracket for it, and i didn't know that you ABSOLUTELY NEEDED to have a plate in the front. i mean, around here, i see 350z's, newer model mercedes, and all kinds of luxury cars without a front license plate. felt singled out, thats all.

Front plates have been required for many years now in CA, unfortunately. The officer was doing his/her job ticketing you- particularly if it was parking enforcement rather than patrol that gave you the ticket. Those other cars you see without plates also can get fix-it tickets.

Check your local junkyard, "acuraoemparts.com" or the 2G TL forum on AZ for less expensive sources (sometimes dealers like Del Rey or Escondido have websites with good prices) for the front license plate bracket.

Have at it. The "just because he is doing it" didn't work when you were a kid. It won't work now either dude.

what the fuck? you broke the law, right? Why do you have to blame that on cops? Aren't they just doing their jobs? Were you really expecting any sympathy from AZine members on this kind of post? :noob:

I'm all for making it harder for people who commit some sort of crime in their car easier to identify. For the sake of fairness responsible people are subject to rules meant for irresponsible people.

I know how you feel, when I got a fix it ticket when I was down in LA it pissed me off, even though it was the first and only time I got pulled over by a hot chick cop. It was BS, over half a year of having the car with no front plate, and in all but 3 days in LA, I unknowingly go down an alley with a parked cop car in it, and as soon as I passed them up, on came the familiar whoop whoop of the siren. When I got my car it didn't have a front plate either, and once I got it checked off I took it off again.

Its not a big deal, more a PITA than anything, not sure where to get it but there's probably a bracket that connects to the bumper support or something so you don't have to drill two holes right in the front of the bumper.

There are douchebag cops out there (well it was a deputy but still), my first ever fix-it ticket for a modified exhaust was marked as "unfixable". I didn't know any better when he gave it to me, but afterwards I was like wtf? Other cops were wtf-ing too, so I couldn't get it checked off until finally I went to traffic court.
