I figured I post this here to get more opinion, since the first gen RL forums are pretty quiet.

What's a good price for a first gen RL with 150k miles ('98 model)? Any common problems or known issues with these cars?

Looking at one to potentially use as a commuter. Ideas, suggestions?

 

I have a 2004 RL. They are good reliable cars. But it might not be the best commuter vehicle. The first gen RL gets poor mileage. 18 mpg combination city/highway is about the best you can expect.

 

Sorry to close, but RL discussion belongs in the RL forum. Yes they're quiet compared to Car Talk, but still, that's where they go.
