I like the fact that the back seats recline, and I really like the interior and engine bay. That cover just makes it look really cool. As far as the back, I think it could grow on me....our CL back did.

Inifinity/Nissan are doing something very agressive and impressive...
Just by the numbers of the new cars introduced they put Acura to shame:
2k2 3.5 Altima
2k2 3.5 Maxima
All new 2003-04 Maxima
G35 Sedan and Coupe
Z35 NA, and a turbo version in 2 years.
The GT-R
Where is the new Acura models...? [ I am not complaining ]

JZ,
I do not understand Nissan/infinity pricings and placement strategy fro their cars.
2k2 loaded maxima goes for $30k+
G35 leather is also for $30k+
I will take an infinity over the nissan any day.... what is wrong here...?

I am not too impressed
My new motortrend was baised about the car. They claimed 0-60 at 6.5 (est). If thats the case, that is not cool for a rear wheel drive car that has a 52/48 weight distribution 260/260 hp/tq. They claimed the tls and cls faster. Acura claims .5 seconds faster with the 6spd manual on the cls and tls. I need to see a better performance for car that has basically the same interior as the tls and with rear wheel drive.
Sorry, my .02
Take it like you want!

They said, " ... our 6.5 sec 0-60-mph estimate might even be conservative".
Car and Driver said that Infiniti's 6.5 sec (see the pattern?) estimate was high by their "seat of the pants" guage and expect it to be up to .5 sec faster when they do a full test on it.
Hate it, don't hate it, but read the whole thing first

I think the door dings and paint chips are getting to me, HOWEVER, i am not hating on the car. I didn't say it was ugly and didn't say that I don't like, I AM NOT IMPRESSED. Like I said 3.5 VQ 260/260 rear wheel drive and you are no faster that of a maxima 3.5 VQ with front wheel drive. Be real man! I would rather wait for the Z! Put me behind the wheel of a 330ci 5spd (friend's car) and I will wipe the floor with you driving that fake skyline!

The car is probably going to be lower than 6.5 secs with an AUTO.
330is with stick at best are 6.3-6.4 ... I still believe that 5.9 number for the 330xi is BS too.

Ok LAST time!
ESTIMATES can either go UP or DOWN. That is what an estimate is for. Car magazines fluctuate way too much for me. Until nissan says 5.9 for automajic (i seriously doubt it) I will argue with you about this later. :P I just brought up magazine times b/c they were the first to do specs right now. IF YOU noticed, most of mag times are (est). EXACTLY, Infiniti's performance figures on most of their cars have been overly hight anyway. Look at the Q45. SUPPOSE to be at 5.7 and no one can get it below 6.4 You call that. I will love to see that G35 hit the 5's and I too may be in the market for a autotrajic fast sedan. Until then, S4 or M3!

Honeslty, I think if the CLS automatic can achieve 6.4sec 0-60, then I'm pretty sure the G35 can achieve 5.9sec 0-60 just because it's RWD and it's geared better then the CLS. Alteast that is what I think

I saw one of these on the road and it looks sweet. I am not a big fan of foour door cars, but i could drive this one.
I also saw a new CTS a couple of days agao. Suprisingly, that looked a lot better then it did in pictures. Not bad.....not a bad time for car people!!!

Don't forget that the G35 has more torque than a CLS and is probably a good 200-300 lbs lighter! (232 vs 260 ft/lbs!). Although the Q45 has been a little disappointing, the VQ has NEVER been a let down. The Max is already hitting mid 14s stock with the new 3.5L VQ. From what I've read, the G35 should run rings around the Max in handling too.

I saw it in person at the auto show, ugly ass ride. As a matter of fact i really wasn't impressed with any car there except the M5 & Viper GTS R. I'm more impressed w/ my cl-s, at least by interior look and feel. BTW the new cadillac cts is a total shitbox, if thats the future of american autos, i feel sorry for them.
