Long story short:

-I have a lifetime alignment deal with a firestone location in San Diego, CA.

-At the time i purchased the lifetime alignment thing, my car was SLAMMED. (half a finger gap all around). The San Diego center took care of it, and I drove away happy as a clam.

I look to get an alignment from a Los Angeles location, and they try to charge me an additional $82 because i "have aftermarket parts on the car."

-I called the San Diego store, and asked what was up with that. He told me to call back, and ask 'em how much a regular alignment would cost. The guy says $140 if you have aftermarket parts.

-What the crap. Is there something I'm missing here? Or are these guys trying to rip me off?

 

firestone wouldn't even do alignments for my cl, and I had comptechs on it.

 

i also have lifetime alignment with firestone and my car is dropped 2.2" in front and 2" in back. they have never charged me extra for 'aftermarket parts' at the 2 places i've gone to get alignment done. at one of those places some of the guys who work there have lowered cars too.

I get my alignment done at the Firestone in Diamond Bar. Its on the corner of Grand Ave and Diamond Bar Blvd. Not a single problem there.

 

they just like dealerships, u gotta find the right one.

 

They're trying to give you the rip if you ask me. I would try another location. I hate people who pull that kind of crap......
