Dash looks terrible when you don't have Nav (adds the full screen). You also should have added the red rear reflectors and took out those black 04 inserts. The best $30 mod you can do to the car.
Important thing is that you have the sport package.
Why are you getting rid of it.

I did not have much of a choice when I was buying it so this one came without a nav. You can add one on, it's pre-wired for it with a slot in the trunk already setup. Dash looks totally fine otherwise. IDrive is a lot easier in this car than in the 7 series.
Red rear reflectors???? You mean in the rear bumpers? I did not even realize that was an option. Would that even look good?
I have no real reason to sell the vehicle but I only tend to keep my cars one to two years at most. Also, I would really prefer something with stick shift. I was going to buy a 540 with stick but could not find one and this one came along. I really loved the way this car looks so I jumped on it but later realized that this might not be for me. I got used to the auto but life's too short to pay for something and not fully enjoy it.

Thaks man. Mortgage Business is doing ok but this is an affordable vehicle if purchased used. Depends on your definition of affordable of course.

^ Wow, you only keep cars for a few years? If you're going to buy higher end cars like this, you yourself may want to look into buying a car that's a year or so old with low mileage. Makes no sense for you to keep dumping this money into depreciating assets. Let some other sucker take the hit the first year.
BTW, nice ride. Have you had any problems with it? My wife loves the new 5-series, but I'm always leary of them, especially the new ones b/c of the problems I always hear about...

I did not buy this new but yes, this is a depreciating asset and I am taking a hit on the car, thats cars for you. Knock on wood, I did not have any issues with the car. I have it serviced at a BMM dealer and they always take car of minors things. The biggest issue I had was a creeking noise in the back seat which they fixed. It was an annoyance, but otherwise, all ok. My friend did not have much of an issue with his 545 so far either. I hope I don't jinx myself, but so far so good.

I am not quite sure what I will get. It will be tough to top this unless I plan to spend about 80-100k which I will not. I do like the e55 but I am yet to drive it and again it's an auto. I also would not mind some sort of a sporty convertible. M3 is always an option, but it's a coupe and I prefer 4 doors. So I am up in the air right now. I might have to get a beater while I figure it out.

This sums it up for me, BMW's nice exteriors, but ugly interiors.

Glad to hear about the 545. Not sure if I'll give into my wife. Even though we have an extra car and gas is dropping, I'm leary on jumping into something like this when she has a perfectly nice car as it is...

Is that your Murano? My wife loves hers. That CVT is pretty cool and it gets decent mileage for an SUV (~19mpg) mixed city/hwy driving.
26mpg is awesome for that 545. My V8 gets about 13.5mpg. I'm always at the pump and I'm starting to feel bad about the damage I'm doing to the planet

No my girl has a black Fx35, you can see it in some of the pics in the garage. That thing gets pretty bad mileage like 17 but I think part of it has to do how my girl drives, heavy foot.
