Finally - New Car From Ebay
After numerous car feeler threads on this forum in the past 2 years, we finally bought a new car, one from ebay @ that.
This car is to replace our 1996 Land Crusier that has been sitting here after buying a scion tc for my brother
The will be used for my father, towing canoes, our german Shepard in the back and at an extra suv to my mom's suburban for long trips
We looked and drove
1)Tahoe
Avalanche
Sequoia
Highlander
Highlander Hybrid
Rx330
Rx330 hybrid
Lexus GX, LX
pretty much any suv in the LUX range, that has a Possible 3rd row
finally, we came across this No Reserve Ebay auction
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...TODAY.m238.lVI
2004 Lexus Lx 470, 49k miles, etc
great deal IMO - kbb is 43,xxx

Your family will love it. My folks had a '99 LX and it was incredible. It is an incredibly well built, luxurious, secure, unstoppable SUV--dare I say the best one on the market for what it does.
Excellent buy. Let us know how it goes.

Nice truck....we drove one of these when we were looking. Some of the design elements are obviously quite dated (tape deck?), but as somebody above said, it does what it does very well and it is unique. Great grab for that price too!

I would have personally kept the LC . That thing could have easily doubled it's current mileage.

this last year has been all headaches - the ac has been out, we got a new ac pump, freon, ac shaft, etc... about 2500 in total. 4 days later, (summer, 93 degrees) it goes out, they say 800 for new pipes and there going to have to rip the dash open. another 200 to fix the non working parking brake light. the front 2 speakers are blown and the stereo in whole has no bass whatsoever. thinning brake pads too.
BUT - it still drives like a dream. had a blast for our last day with it, dad let me drive it until it hit 141,500 even. the last of the large v6s for the LC and that thing still accels like 1998.
but after driving the LX today. there is no doubt in our minds of the choice. cant beat the price, nor the quality - the car is as quiet as spears was for 7 years.

the quality for the money aint what it used to be... plus, my dad probably wants the smoothness over the handling anyway
