Few Pics of the new (3rd) 330i
Picking it up on the 27th, going to be a lot of fun to drive it through the Rocky Mountains for the next seven weeks then shipping it back to FL.
This one is for my father - jet black/tan, premium package, sport package, steptronic 6 speed, navigation/I-drive, comfort access, heated seats and satellite radio.
The car just came off the boat into the port of California then was trucked to Boulder, CO.
(salesman took these pictures today)
I will post good pictures out in CO

By the way I redlined mine in the first two gears last night from a 3,000rpm roll in 1st. It is pretty nice thats for sure. It only has 560 miles on it now but when I drive home this weekend that will be another 200.

Congrats on the new ride...
But, sorry, still not a fan of the look of the Bimmers these days...

Have you seen the interior in person or driven one? The interior is pretty damn nice in person with soft leather and high quality materials. Go see one in person with premium package and then tell me its not nice. Also what are you comparing the interior to? If you are saying it is beat compared to an Acura- CL I strongly disagree. The car has everything on it, steptronic, premium, sport, comfort access, navi/I drive, heated seats, Sirius radio.

The E90 did nothing for me.......that is until I drove one!! If the interior was not so snug, I would consider one as a trade up candidate. (As such, I am just waiting for the price of the E60 545i to get into the range of my budget. )
For the record, I have no problem with that center console. Enjoy the new whip.

Just glancing over the equipment pkg in his E90 I would say that the MSRP is ~ $50k.

I went to the University of Colorado in Boulder. Seeing those highway pictures really makes me miss the place and the drive along Highway 70 to the ski areas.
Nice car, I like the BMW interior but I love my TL interior. On the other hand I like my TL leather, but I love the BMW leather, that stuff never loses its new smell.

MSRP $ 45965. Car is a lease, 36 months, 12k year, $1300 out the door, $640/month. It is not a cheap car but it does have everything. The handling of this car is amazing, going to go for a drive in the mountains soon.

Beautiful car. I envy you, but I can't see buying a performance sedan like the BMW without a MT. Just doesn't seem right, and it runs counter to its sporting intentions.
That said, I'd love to do an ED on the same car equipped with the stick.

MSRP $36,600
Options and accessories $13,025
Destination charge $695
Total price as built* $50,320
But, I have never been known as frugal but, I cannot imagine paying $640/month on a lease.
I do agree with your assessment of its handling. The 330i I drove had some terrific cornering ability, while at the same time rode relatively smooth.

i have not seen it in person yet. i know you dont get the full effect from pictures but from what i see im not a fan. i wasnt comparing it to anything in particular, but if your hinting around it, i drive an 05 rl. i know the cl's interior wasnt anything to write home about (had an 01 cls for a few years), but IMO, neither is the new 3 series....

Damn, that's nuts. You can get a pre-owned low mileage M3 for that price. Wow. No way I'd pay that much just to say I have a BMW (since the 3 series is their lowest model).
Nice ride, looks hot and all, but makes no sense to me. I'm hoping your dad leases b/c it's a business write-off, otherwise it makes even less sense...

If you did not know that is how much it costs to lease a BMW. Any lexus/infiniti of the same price you could probably get for $100 less a month. For the same price I cannot think of any other NEW car I would rather drive that is just as fun and nice. The M3 while nice the car is starting to look dated especially the interior and has been out since when 2001? Anyway I just drove the car about 35 miles and it is one of the best handling cars I have personally driven. Very fun

If you buy a one year old car the original owner takes the big depreciation hit, and you have a fairly new car, still under warranty, for a lot less money. But, to each their own.

Nice car, but if I had to get one I would make it an MT and skip the idrive. I bet it is a blast to drive around those mountains.

I comment about the interior was that it was boring, as in bland styling. I have sat in that exact same model and I love the quality of the interior, it's just the styling that kills it.
But who gives a flying rats eye socket, you got the car, you like the car, enjoy

I really like the looks of the new 3 series. However, I disagree that the E46 M3 is looking dated. Very hot car IMO still.
BTW, I think you paid more for your 3-series than I did for my Caddy. Two different animals, I know. Interior of the Beamer puts this generation of CTS to shame. But you'll have to catch me first to tease me on how much nicer it is...and I guarantee you won't.
