few concerns w/ the 05 mustangs, (repair bills will be costly)

I finally got a chance to really inspect one up close. A friends shop is painting wings wests GT that they are taking to SEMA (apparently their are 20 new GT's that ford sent out to various tuners).

I was amazed at how good the fit and finish on these cars were, doors are solid, etc.

I do have one concern, keep in mind this was a pre-production car and that things may of chaned, but they did 2 very stupid things. For one, the ECU is at the very front of the engine bay, w/ the connectors facing the front. Another the ABS lines are all at the VERY front of the engine bay. This is gonna make for a very costly repair if you are in a front end collision. I don't know why they didn't put the battery where the ECU is and move all the stuff back. The ABS lines may be able to hold up in an accident, but the placement is horrible.

And if you bust that ECU you are screwed, cause you have to replace everything, not just the connectors that got affected.

Just some food for thought, so make sure to get collision coverate

btw, 20's on this car are an absolute must. They had a set on it and it makes the car, anything smaller and they don't look good. They plan on putting 22's in the rear
