A reasonable price? Don't know, I paid almost $500 for my Shoei.
I have not heard enough about AGV to have an educated opinion on them. Where are they made? That tells me a lot.

4. I'm not really sure what a reasonable price would be. I've spent as little as $400 and as much as $900 on a helmet. I honestly think if a helmet meets someone's requirements of fit and safety, the price is secondary.

5. Heard of them, but don't have any experience with them. I might be wrong, but aren't they marketed towards sport riders?

6. I'd be curious is they offered a modular (flip-up chin bar) for adventure touring.

yeah they pretty much make very good racing helmets. The have some cheaper ones(solid colors) but are pretty much for the sportbike crowd. (full faced lids)

1) 2006 Harley SE Fatboy & 2003 Harley Roadglide

2) about 5 helmets. 1 Full (Arai), 2 3/4 helmets (Shoei RJC), 1 3/4 helmet (Harley), 1 Full (Shoei signature series) and 2 half helmets (Harley)

3) must be a solid helmet that is DOT as well as SNELL certified. No cheapies as this is something you will wear alot.

4) as long as I like the helmet, price is not too big of a deal. But a good helmet can be $500 thereabout.

5) no. AGV is not high on the brand list. Shoei or Arai is proven.

** Helmets all fit differently. I have found that SHOEI helmets fit me best. ARAI is a different story. The have different models and I believe these fit different size heads (ovals or rounds).

3)I should be shopping for a new helmet, but still considering selling my bike. If/when I shop for a helmet I'd be looking for: fit (obviously), Snell/DOT, removable liner, weight, then other special features, ie. considering flip up style, but haven't looked into the safety of them, or ease of changing face shield.
4)I'd want to spend like $300-400, but haven't shopped around lately
5)I've heard of AGV, is legendary one of their helmets?, or is that just their full name? I'm not too familiar with their whole line up
6) they look pretty good, don't know how they stand up against shoei/arai, but I'd probably put them in the top tier.
