Exhaust SHops in Northern Jersey
hey guys,
im looking for an exhaust shop around the morristown....short hills....livingston.....east hanover...whippany....area...willing to go a little farther but does anyone know of anyt good reputable shops?
im looking to have my midmuffler taken out and have it replaced with a straight pipe....any shops that might do this? Mclaren....chime in? please?

Don't know any exhaust shops in the area really.
Try these guys though http://www.azevedomotorsports.com/index2.htm They're located in Linden. They specialize in german cars, but they could easily do what you want to do. Their work is great, and their prices are pretty good. Ask them and see what they say.

Walk the walk
Pedro- MGR at Meinike on rt 22 in mountside. Has done excellent custom exhaust work for me at very fair prices. My quess is on that job would be $125-$150.
His prices tend to reflect how busy they are to be prepared to walk away.
I would ONLY have exhaust work done there, other jobs I had to go back a few times to get it right with some aggravation but is exhaust work is top grade.
I am not exactly sure but I believe the mid mufflers are resonators and your really not going to get bang for the buck and the car will have a droning sound.
The resonator makes a HUGE difference in sound quality with little restrictions.
The U pipe is the killer in the TL system but that is a much trickier job.
