Evo X Review!!!

so slower...heavier...better interior but handles better.

I am a bit disappointed, nonetheless, I will still be getting one.

I'm happy to hear you can get the base 5MT without the ridiculous rear wing. I know it's semi-functional, but not on public roads.

Dual clutch is overrated imo, still prefer to row manually.

Looks like 07 Acura TL-S wheels on there. Not a bad ride handling wise or power wise, but it sure is fugly IMO.

I think an Evo would look boring without the ridiculously huge rear wing.Same thing goes with the STi

Not a fan at all of the exterior styling. Too "grocery getter" in drag for me

At least the wing is a little more modest compared to the previous generation. This is, in my mind, the only improvement in appearance.

dammit 13.8 quarter time. which is only 2 tenths of a second quicker than a Mazdaspeed 3.
I was praying for something like 12.5 quarter time.

Yep, took a spin in the GTI and it was a hoot. I can certainly appreciate the advantages on the track. But on the street, call me old school. In a sporty car, I simply prefer a manual - it just feels right.

Also, they haven't been around in enough mass quantities to know the long term reliability (or so an engineering buddy of mine told me).

We'll soon all be hearing stories of a guy that a guy knows that just put an intake and exhaust on is Evo X and is running high 12's in the quarter.

i hope that's a joke?
that's being aweful positive with just an intake, and cat back or even turbo back.
cut a full second of your 1/4 mile with just an intake and exhaust(which only MAYBE makes 20-25 crank hp)

oo red outs on the IS, just like mine. rev, our cars are sexier haah. i think the evo X is a great car, it looks aggressive in the front. i bet there will be host of mods that will come out for it to be power house just like the Evo 9.

yeah...it's a sexy car alright. I'm going to go with blackouts, I think - I'm working on blacking my emblems right now, though.

I have yet to see one Evo, though.

Link must be fubar. I kind of wanted to read it to...Evo X is not on my short list as a future car, but I'm curious to see if this one will at all live up to expectations. It seems like Mitsubishi has kind of cheapened the Evolution image.

Aluminum block 4B11 engine

S-AYC sounds cool as we never got that in the states on previous models.

i hope that's a joke?
My stock evo 9 put 245whp on the dynojet.

With simple bolt ons - 02 housing, 2.75 inch downpipe, 3'' test pipe (catless), 3''catback exhaust, boost controller and and an ECU tune I dynoed 325whp, 315tq.

They want it to appeal to a broader range of people.

There are people with VIIIs and IXs with nothing more than an exhaust and a tune that can pull high 12s.

new one=poop. slower on straight and handles worse.
X pulled 0.97g on skid pad..............but the ix pulled a 0.98g.
and first evo to get rid of 4g63 ftl. but dont worry the new evo engine will also be featured in the new srt-4 replacement.

I like the front fascia a lot, both new and old gen. I think the only problem is that the car is slower, I thought their intentions were to make it faster, not slower. 13.8 on a AWD Turbo isn't very impressive, but then again they don't get the high rpm launch, so.

I don't get it, why use an aluminum motor? And how is this car so heavy? Lightweight wheels, seats, an all aluminum body, lighterweight motor, and this car still is heavier.

take out the spare, take out the jack, take out the carpet, take out the back seat, take out the passenger seat, take out any sound deadening material, pretty much anything that isn't safety or mechanically required pull it out.

FYI, the dual exhaust ways 100+ pounds. Replace it with a single titanium one and the car will weigh in very slightly above the IX
