Now why cant the rest of the mitsu line be as interesting as the lancer? even the base model looks enticing

Base GSR can be had for 29k from socal

 

Yeah, I've gotten several qoutes for 28-29 for a base GSR.

I would assume you'd be able to get the MR for 2-3k under MSRP as well.

The MR is tempting with the 6 speed semi manual tranny, but for nearly 10k less, I can live with a fully manual 5 speed.

Besides, seems like a lot of after market companies are leaning towards to 5 speed manual over the MR anyway. Although on every test, the semi manual MR yeilds more consistent shifts and therefore more consistent lap times.

 

That is a badass looking evo, and its fast as hell too!!!
