I think I did alright. Sticker was 37k. I got it for 35.5k w/ 2.75% interest + taxes and fees. I could of got it in the 34k range but I would of had double the interest.

I forgot to mention. I had another Mustang on order since 4/17, ETA 6/3. It's the same as this one minus the Rear Sensing Package so it would of been $700 cheaper.

Nice. Cheaper than an STI and better equipped. But high hp rwd in chicago could be sketchy....

Sunday Morning Cruise. Took it out to a road out here called Glendora Mountain Road or GMR for the locals which I'm sure a lot of you know about. It was my first time out there and I had a blast. I plan on Angeles Crest Highway next weekend but I'll see.

Even though this car wasn't made to be a canyon carver it took it like a champ. Except midway through my second run, the traction control turned off on it's own. I turned it back on and went back to the action. Then the CEL came on some miles later so I took it a little easy back down. The adrenaline was kind of dead by then anyway.

I went through this route twice. Amazing piece of road. 1st leg (A to B) is really curvy but the 2nd leg (B to D) I can open it up a little more. I had it in 3rd gear 95% of the time.

I took some photos, not too many. Here are my favorites.

I'm a big Mustang fan, but damn I wish they would get rid of the 80s mast antenna already. That would really clean up the lines of the car.

Yeah. Turns out to be a Random Misfire code. Contemplating if I should bring it in to the dealer or just clear it.

Dealer. It's brand new, make them ensure all is well.

Sterling Grey FTMFW.

Finally saw a 13 GT in the flesh 2 days ago and loved it. Enjoy it! Perfectly equipped too.

+1 even if they just clear it themselves. At least you have it on record you brought it in.

Alright, I'll drop it off tomorrow night at a Ford Dealer. I was just kind of worried if they find out I was beating on it.

Not bad actually. It's a bit different than what I'm used to. A lot better than it's competitor *cough* Camaro.

I wouldn't worry. It's a Mustang; you didn't buy one with the "Track Package" to go get lettuce at the grocery store across the street. It should be able to handle what you were, apparently, doing without difficulty.

I wouldn't worry about it. This is why you have a warranty. They won't judge you, in fact the dealer makes money charging FoMoCo to find out why the CEL came on. Plus they may stumble upon something (bad coil?) and nip it before it gets bigger.

Just got done with the MGW shifter install. Took me about 2 1/2 hours but the install was pretty straight forward. I didn't have any difficulty putting it in.

The shifts are crisp, every gear change has this solid feel to it.
Does it cover the weaknesses of the transmission? No.
Is it worth the $400? Probably not. Especially to the average person.

I didn't take any install photos but here's the finished product. I kind of want a white shift knob now.

A little more road noise coming through. Kind of sounds like a vacuum. I might have to re-install the dust boot but I could of sworn I installed it correctly.

Have you watched the install videos of the MGW? It's not that bad actually.

I've only heard one GT with Roush Axle Backs in person. I don't know if he had anything else going on with the exhaust system. It was friggin LOUD at start up.

Sweet! That is really nice! In fact, it was one of the cars I considered when shopping for my new ride. I would get in trouble with that car I already know I would. I had an 01 GT, but I really love what they did with the new ones. Those tail lights are awesome. I love the color too.

Congratulations!!

So I went with the Roush axlebacks and installed them a couple of days ago. They sound amazing. They stick out a little too much though.

I could probably cut them and make em shorter but I think I'll leave them alone. They don't bother me that much.
