This gives you an idea of the people on that board. This is someones reply to the fact that GM and Ford may go bankrupt. The thread title is "Foreign car companies suck"

"LOL at all the jealous haters. Go UAW!

From the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics :

Unions add 213,000 Members in 2005

Despite a climate hostile to workers' rights, labor unions added 213,000 members in the United States last year (2005).

The increase brought the total number of wage and salary workers who were union members last year to nearly 15.7 million.

Full-time wage and salary workers who belonged to unions had median usual weekly earnings of $802 last year, compared to a median of only $622 for unrepresented workers.

Now, none of this is news to someone like me and others who understand such things. Let's face it- the real reason so many of you are on the down-with-the-UAW bandwagon is due to jealousy because UAW workers make more money and enjoy a better lifestyle than you. It has nothing to do with the survival of GM and whatnot- none of you care about that really. You all cry about the UAW and unions being weak, greedy and evil and such but you're the real crybabies- after all, instead of trying to attain the same wages and lifestyle union workers enjoy it's much easier to do nothing and try to drag everyone else down to your pathetic level.

But it's ok- even in this rough economy union workers are doing much better than the rest of you folks. They must be doing something right. The numbers posted above aren't something I pulled out of thin air- anyone can visit the website, a website for an impartial US government study group, and read the facts for themselves.

People live better working union. 'Nuff said.

Real Americans say: Go GM! Go Ford! Go UAW!

"They're doing something right. You must have missed this part:

Full-time wage and salary workers who belonged to unions had median usual weekly earnings of $802 last year, compared to a median of only $622 for unrepresented workers.

Now, you may be making more than $622 weekly yourself without a union but the facts show that millions on top of millions of others don't...and meanwhile the average union worker exceeds that easily, by almost $200/week.

Look it up yourself if you don't believe me- this isn't union "propaganda" I'm posting. These numbers/facts come from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics under a Republican government lol...
