Engine starting explosion sound and shake

OK so I went to start my 2003 gmc sonoma and my engine felt like it jumped and then didn't start.
So I tried again and it did the same. I did it a third time and it finally started after it turned over 4 times. If you can help me identify the problem that would be great. Thus has happened 4 times now.

Might get more help over in a GMC blog if you don't find an answer here.

I don't get it, over the last year or so, car talk has seen the most random car specific questions. I get that we talk about all cars here but joining an Acura forum to ask a specific question about a non Acura vehicle, just seems odd.

Good luck OP.

I was trying to be kind but thinking the same thing-we are getting all kinds of random questions from people with cars that aren't Acuras or even Hondas. Isn't that kind of like going to a skiing site to learn about problems with your snowboard?

Why do we get these first time posts on random cars?

I could see if the problem was exploding transmissions that people would go to the experts on Azine but not engines.
