Dumbass crotch rocket drivers....

It was only a matter of time before I witnessed it. I live on a main road that at night, sounds like I'm living next door to the Indy 500 track. Anyways, today I was walking with my wife, saw this dumbass at the light with his friend on his other bike, must have pushed it a bit too much, because the bike went right over him and skidded about 20 feet down the road. All this happening around cars in all lanes, including behind him. What a frikkin moron. Save the tricks for an area where it isn't dangerous!

In London, the bikers are nuts. They go in between cars and pop out at you. Im sure I will see a biker fatality while I am here.

They are called donor cycles for a reason.

Most of the riders are young healthy males, with healthy organs, just weak on brains.

I came upon at accident on the highway once involving two crotch rockets and a tractor trailer. Needless to say, I don't think the red smear in the road was oil.

It does. I once saw two guys take off from a light and one genious decided to pop a wheelie. Well the guy lost it in the air and the bike shot off to the side and took his friend out. The other guy seemed to be ok for the most part, but I didn't see his friend get up while I was there. This was all on a main road, so it blocked up traffic for awhile too.

I'm with Ron B. The whole reason to have a sport bike is to push the envelope. For the most part, I take it easy in city, unless I'm in a rush somewhere. It's usually the n00b riders that get hurt cuz they don't understand the power nor do they know how tohandle different situations.

As a rider, I hate those dumbass riders just like y'all but will never wish one of them gets hurt - just busted by cops.

This is why I switched up to a Harley, you can enjoy riding and you don't have to act like a "monkey on crack" everywhere you go

Crotch rockets have no place on the streets. Driving them legally you basically idle the bike everywhere you go and you never get out of 2nd gear... WTF is the point? it's just a recipe for trouble... simply taking the bike into the beginning of it's power band is a GUARANTEE you're WAY over the speed limit. And once you hit that RPM range you shoot off at a insane rate...

I lost my license for awhile when I had mine... so like you guys I couldn't control myself either. Really I don't know how anyone can, riding legally and idling the bike everywhere gets old... as I said before, it's a recipe for trouble...

Last I heard, riding between the lanes is legal in California under some circumstances. It's called lane splitting or land sharing.

When your rear tire is $400 and you can barely afford the payments on the bike. Then you're the idiot I see riding around with a bald tire on your 180MPH crotch rocket.

heheh

sad but true...

probably not such a good idea, get a 250 ninja like i did to start off. cause you will drop it and if you have the fastest bike on the market then you wont like dropping it. Learning to ride you don't need that much power. Start off slow till you get the hang of it then move on up

I got my dads baby harley....1200...that I start out on. I like riding it because after about 90 that thing shakes and scares me, but I still keep pushing it. I remember the first time I rode on the highway, man did it look like I was going to smack the sidewall. Dont knock it till you try it

I am still convinced that crotch rockets are safer. Having owned both, I would prefer to be in a close call with a crotch rocket.

On a sport-bike, you can bob and weave with the greatest of ease, as lopng as you have the experience. You can brake so hard and fast the bike stands up on end.

As for my Harley, it is heavy. Handles poorly. And if I need to dump the brakes hard, the bike will lock up and fall over.

I have had clase calls on the sport bike that I know, if I had the Harley I would have laid it down.

To each their own..

you can't blame the type of bike for the accident, it's always a the rider. Sport bikes tend to get the worst reputation because of the type of people it attracts. most of these riders are young immature males who have ride recklessly because they think its cool. meanwhile touring/cruisers are often owned by older individuals who have calmed down and don't find the need for this agressive style of riding. so riding a harley vs any sport bike makes no difference. motorcycles are dangerous no matter what type of bike. i ride a sport bike and yes i would take that over a harley any day in a panic situation.

we have riders over my way doing wheelies and cutting in and out of traffic all the time. But the cops are never around for that though.

I think the Cops stopped pulling over sport bikes. Everyt ime they try, it ends up being a high speed chase. and after a mile, the bike is either gone, or has flown off the road and wrecked..

I stopped for a Cop one day, and he said he was stunned that I even pulled over. And since I did pull over, he wasnt going to ticket me...

yup. Like Siggy, I like riding my Harley cause you do not get that sort of hot dogging. If anyone starts hot dogging like that on the road when we are on a run, they do not ride with us again. Bad enough having to watch drivers around you and have to worry about the rider besides you..

By no reason I meant he's just sitting at a red light, only person their, no girls or cars around. He just burns out. Then stops. A minute later the light turns green.

I won't be getting a bike for a while so don't worry.

Mike
