Drove a Gallardo Spyder this weekend...
One of my best friends got married this past weekend, and rented an 07 Gallardo Spyder to drive off after the ceremony in. He needed someone to drive the car back after before the reception started, so I volunteered. Got to drive it for about 40-50 miles. The car is an animal, and attracts more attention that imagined...and it was white! I kept the radio off at all times when driving, as the exhaust note was the only thing I was interested in hearing...
The car handled fairly well, and the brakes were awesome as well. The interior was pretty plain, and the radio was downright horrid. Did I mention the exhaust note was to die for? I want to buy one of these so bad

I would love to drive something like that. Put the top down and just listen to that glorious v10 sing
edit: do that down PCH and you're in heaven

i've never thought of lambo's being the top supreme handling vehicles
they are amazing machines, but thats not to say a car that DOESNT cost hundres of thosands cant handle better..

Nice, I drove a Gallardo Spyder couples years ago when I was invited to the Gallardo roadshow. They had professional instructors escort us. My guy was from Utah and all he wanted to talk about was snowboarding even as I was pushing 100mph with the engine wailing like a banshee The 4 wheel drive handled very solidly but I would say my 911 is a little more lively to drive
Halekulani is this shwank hotel on the beach BTW
Didn't get any wheel time with the Superleggera though

cool, a friend brought a gallardo (6-speed) recently, which apparently is very rare. And I got to ride in it. I love the acceleration in that beast. It's the fastest car I've been in to this day. I wish I could drive it thou.
My other friends and I even made a film with it.

I think what you're arguing is trivial - you can't gauge how a rented Lambo handles on your drive back to return it... you just can't. "How did it handle?" It's just not a question you can accurately answer, given the circumstances. Give the guy a break. It handled fairly well, given that he had to return it to the rental place.

My patient invited me.
Halekulani is f-ckin balling. La Mer is the only 5-start restaurant on my island. Orchids is not as good as it used to be was but the sunset view dining on the beach is stunning. The House Without A Key makes some sick martinis

Nice.... I didn't get to ride in it but I sat in my brother's friend's Gallardo. Thing is sweet, just sits there locked in his garage and behind a metal gate to the back. It has a cassette deck though and he uses one of those cassette-to-AUX adapters to play music off of his iPod
He has a Gallardo though.... but still!

LOL, seems like alot of people got bent out of shape on the 'handled fairly well comment.' As srika said, I didnt exactly take it into the mountains on the drive back to return it...nor have I driven numerous cars that are said to handle well. I will say that I was expecting a little more....more of what? That I cant tell you..This car gets alot more attention than I would have imagined though. People were taking photos at traffic lights..I wonder if that happens in a Ferrari..
Rick-when I first drove the car I had the same issue, the roar coming from behind you was definately distracting. But after a few miles I got used to the drive. I liked how when you downshifted using the paddles, it blipped the throttle.
