drove an '05 S2000... colors?

a friends. damn. this car is perfect. torque is existent with the 2.2 - still not much of it, but its noticeably better. car was white/tan.

what do you think about the pearl yellow? I have seen one in person and I really like it.. but I dunno about getting a yellow car. any input appreciated..

the car is not terribly fast, but that's good because it'll keep me out of trouble.

If there was one car that looked good in yellow it'd be the S2K. It's small enough to pull it off. Things like the C5 or C6... too large of a car for yellow IMO. I'd say the pearl yellow or the white.

The car is "petite" and yellow looks good on it, get some black rims and the car would be even better....

I think the S2K looks really good in yellow. In fact, if I had the money to buy one, I would only consider yellow or black.

cool thats the kinda feedback I need.. I agree. Also I like the pearl yellow over the earlier yellow because its a little subtler... also love the white, and I wish they would have made the '06-only Laguna Blue Pearl in '05!!! if you haven't seen this color yet, check this link:

http://www.rsportscars.com/eng/cars/honda_s2000.asp

and I have to say although the car isn't terribly fast, it's not slow... what a beautiful piece of engineering...

What would you consider "terribly fast" in today's market?

A car that has several road tests with 0-60 in 5.4 and 1/4 mile in the 13's is pretty darn quick for normal driving. Just my HO.

The white and red is a classic color combo... the old S600 and S800 roadsters...

I personally love the yellow, but I've noticed while looking thru the classifieds that there are alot of yellow S2000's for sale. Yellow cars seem to go cheaper then non-yellow. Might be something to think about if your worried about re-sale value.

You don't see many blue ones, but alot of silver, red and black...

My favorite S2000 colors are the black, red, yellow... and even tho' I don't like white cars (had 3 white cars in the driveway at one time), the white and red is one of my favorites color combos for a 'vert.

It's fast, but some people complain about the lack of low end torque. Of course, that's easily fixed with a supercharger

go for it... remember my friend Jim had a yellow one? I like it, but I don't see you in a yellow s2k for some reason... grey/red or white/red would be sweet! But if you get a good deal on the yellow one, go for it!

imo, "terribly fast" in today's market is 12's, if not low 13's. the number I go by for the S2k is low 14's... but it will be tough to get those numbers in the S2k's price range, without modifications..... and I understand that.

I'm not saying the S2k is slow, but it is going to be a lot slower than my last car (400rwhp supra). I think thats what I'm getting at.

Sure. That makes sense, but we are not talking about cars in their stock form if the Supra is in the picture.

The S2k can be "made" to have 400rwhp, too.

I own a 2005 S2k and it takes some gas, but it moves.

^^^^ well.... reliable hp? I dunno... when you s/c an engine as highly tuned as the S2k's its reliability takes a tumble, so I hear. Also I hear it's expensive, like $10k+... I mean that's a third of the car's cost...

look at this yellow pearl...... not for me but damn is it beautiful. it reminds me of the very limited Competition Yellow Mica RX-7's... they looked pretty much just like this too....

another beautiful yellow pearl......

Srika, you gonna mod it? If so then yellow or red might be cool. I just hate stock yellow cars.

Yellow S2k with some black/polished wheels... now thats hot

only thing I'd do is intake and stereo. the stereo is seriously lacking - and for open top cruising, you NEED to hear the tunes... I would throw a 10" in a (easily removable) box in the trunk, an amp for it, some nice components, and an Alpine 9855... remove the spare tire to kinda offset the weight addition... and also need the space. There's a great stereo pics thread over at S2ki, some ppl put some mad into their setups.. crazy. I just want simple and efficient...

so right now, I'm thinking white/tan.

I would also get some Gen1 rims for roadracing or CP035R's or something... something light..

Can you hear the bass with a sub in the trunk? I figured itwould be hard with no pass-through or somthing.

I had two 12s in my sebring convertible and couldnt hear shit.
