Lightbulb Drive and cook a burger with your exhaust!

From Top Gear...

Burger this

Have you ever reached the end of a long, draining commute and thought 'hey, what a really need now is a fresh-off-the-grill burger?'

No? Really? Anyhow, it's that very problem that a young Iranian designer turned his pen to, and came up with this: the Exhaust Burger Grill.

An entrant in the little-publicised Dining in 2015 design competition, it really is as painfully simple as it looks - heat from the exhaust chargrills your burger to a state of meaty deliciousness, just in time for you to step out of your car with a freshly prepared bun.

We're glad to see that the designer has at least worked out how to keep the burger away from the flow of noxious exhaust gases. Carbon dioxide is rarely our choice of topping.

We know a few Aussies who can rustle up a mean stew using the heat from the top of the engine head, but we fear this invention is set to remain forever in the design stage. Until our Iranian friend comes up with a foot-long hotdog attachment, that is.
