Dot matrix tint problem
Dot matrix tint problem
I was wondering if there is any way that you can fix the tint around the dot matrix that did not adhere quite right. I have heard of using vinyl to correct this, but can a shop fix it pretty easily?
you might get more answers if you posted in the main forums like the TL or CL. But some tinters sand the dots down and then tint over them and some use vinyl. I have it sanded down and tinted over and it looks perfect.

My GTO has very little Dot Matrix, so I had them stop right before. My wifes accord and my old CL were HORRIBLE, I had them paint the dot matrix black
(something a good tint shop will do)

with sand paper, I did this on my CL before painting, it wasn't the best
I've heard that accords have trouble with this, but I have a life time warranty against bubbles, turning purple or any of that crap. I thought maybe once it cured or whatever maybe it would go away, but it just doesn't look good at all. I might go in real soon here.
i have the same problem. Its been discussed on other forums and the general consensus is to live with it. I know its annoying but cant do much about it. I also get it on the rear glass around the defrost heater elements...

best answer i've been given is that it's for your eyes to gradually adjust to the light comming in.

So, you stated "tint" is a piece of film, you cut it up, you just have more pieces of film....still "tint"
