From http://autonet.ca/Autoshows/story.cf...21/937984.html

Dodge rolled out its new Ram Daytona 1500 at the Canadian International Auto Show and the comapny has also announced that pricing will start at $32,760.

The newest Ram features Daytona-inspired styling (for instance the 11-inch high rear spoiler) and a Hemi-powered engine. Other exclusive styling cues include a Daytona signature on contrasting black-striped rear quarter panels, hood scoop, rear side-exiting twin chrome tips, body-coloured grille, front fascia and rear bumper, as well as 20-inch chrome-clad aluminum wheels.

The Ram Daytona 1500 will be available in two colours: an orange called 'Go Man Go!" and bright silver metallic. The exterior colours are also accented on the centre bezel on the dash.

Interior features include leather-wrapped steering wheel and Daytona monograms on the headrests and floor mats. Since these Ram Daytona's are limited edition, each will feature a numbered plaque on the dash and chrome fuel filler door.

The latest Ram will be available in regular and quad cab styles and in 4X2 or 4X4 configurations. It will pump out 345 horsepower and 375 lb.-ft. of torque coupled with a 5-speed automatic transmission.

Prices for the short wheelbase (SWB) trucks are as follows:

Regular Cab 4x2 SLT SWB $32,760
Regular Cab 4x4 SLT SWB $36,225
Quad Cab 4x2 SLT SWB $36,460
Quad Cab 4x4 SLT SWB $39,865

Don't blame Honda for making ricers. Blame the kids for sticking giant wings and ugly bodykits on the Civics. For this truck, blame Crysler for the ricer touch.

you know, that's not horrible, atleast it fits the car well, unlike those generic POS ones the ricers throw on that are 3ft off the decklid

BTW, I think that Dodge is trying too hard to capitalize on the ricer market.

Is the Daytona model Canada's version of the Rumble Bee that we have in the United States? Will it be sold in the States as well? Not like I want one, I have a Rumble Bee and I'm just wondering. Peace.

I'd rather see a 6.1L 425HP HEMI in a special edition Ram, instead of that tacky Ram Daytona with the same 5.7L HEMI.

Yep, this is only about 4" off the decklid, with shark fins on the side, perfectly normal

personally I haven't liked Dodge's styling for about the last 4-5 years. Plus their mileage is trash.
My neighbor has a new Ram with a Hemi. He has BRIGHT YELLOW Ram with giant HEMI (it has to be like 6 inch tall by 3 ft long) ( on a 6 ft bed) black sticker. IT'S HORRIBLE. Every time I see it I want to stab out my eyes it's so ugly.

Yeh, it'll be fun seeing them putting tall items in there...wait...they don't use them anymore for that.
