Do you think this looks totalled?

I know its not the easiest to tell by the photos. The right passenger door is buckled, basically riding on top of the rear door. Rear hatch is like bent sideways, besides being bashed in.
Keep in mind the car is like $18k new.
No, its not my Rabbit.

Driver's side, hard to tell from the photos but is creased as the car slid across it after the hit from behind.
On an $18k new car?
My Evo didn't have nearly as much damage as this does and was $12k in damage.

Yeah, buddy of mine (commuter car) got blasted while it was parked in Queens....hit/run. Car was seen sliding on the ice. They stood around for a few minutes and took off. Neighbor got half the plate #.

Yea i showed him the thread. He said it looks as if every panel is almost damaged and who knows how bad it is underneath.
He said that if the insurance pushes for non-oem parts then the car actually might not be totaled. It all depends i guess.

I think it will boil down to the claims adjuster. The good news is that there may not be aftermarket parts for that car yet, also adjusters tend to total newer cars quicker then older cars for some reason(based on my experience). I'd give it a 75% chance of being totaled.
