why we got the Mugen which is a "window dressed" Si. it has no power gain. it has Mugen body kit, Mugen wheels, and small drop nothing major. not worth the 30+ grand for basically a Si. they need something to beat at Mini Cooper S with the that factory upgrade i can't think of the name of it.

Is this a statement or a question?
What?
Sorry dude, you have to translate these two "sentences" from redneck to English. Most of us don't speak hick.

depends on the motor and upgrade. if they drop the RDX motor in it that would be pretty badass. turboed K motor. that's about the highest performance K series motor Honda got. if they keep it around 200 hp eh not worth it.

Everything we've heard about the Civic Type R tells us its an incredible car, quicker than an S2000 around a track.
I'd love to see it happen although I'd probably never buy one and it would likely cost way too much.

The civic needs 300+hp now a days to compete with cars in it's class. It's nice, handles well and it's decently quick, and will last forever, but a 94 Integra GSR does the same thing much cheaper.
The new Cobalt is done really well, but who knows how long it will go before it gets crappy. Civics drive the same after 15 years.

i'd rather have a euro civic type R hatch than the Japanese type R sedan. Maybe that's just me.
The japanese one just doesn't look different enough to me. Just an Acura CSX, with some body styling. Not that the CSX common in america or anything, but it's basically a facelift of the USDM model civic. Not sure what the difference in performance is though, that is just a purely aesthetic opinion.

The Cobalt SS is probably better than them all around a track but its almost a different order as far as which one I want. S2000 > MS3 > CTR > CSS sadly. But if I wanted an all-out track car it would probably be almost the exact opposite order...

Honda might as well give the U.S the Type-R. Acura doesnt have any small performance oriented cars anymore, and the S2000 will be a softened up roadster pretty soon.

this is all good. but put an age limit on these freaking things. tired of seeing 30 yr olds driving around these toys. i feel embarassed seeing THEM driving, and im not even the one driving it...and frankly, these drivers scream "virgin"!

cobalt SS reminds me of the old neon SRT-4, maybe even more so being an awesome performer at a bargain. But I don't know a single person that actually would buy one.
