Which design you like better the 07 g35 sedan or 07 tl

I like the TL better for design (especially interior).... While the G has a much improved interior over the last version, it's still not up to acura standards... The exterior of both are nice, but I like the more conservative looks of the Acura (I own a CL, so I like bland styling).
I think you'll find people split on the exterior. Styling is really subjective...
Luckily you left out the drivetrain, or my choice might have been different...

I love the designs of both the G and the TL. I have a G so obviously I am more partial to it's design.......but I have always loved the looks of the TL.

Put it this way the G design isn't bland or conservative, while the TL's isn't bland either, but conservative. Notice Honda doesn't have any way out there designs while Nissan takes risks with theirs and it's a love it or hate it design.

on to the next one...
Finally! A TL vs. G35 thread!
I like the TL a lot, but I think I like just about everything about the G better...I've only driven the TL for a few days though, and have NOT driven the new G, so
I am very much looking forward to the new G coupe coming out though. Not only to see what it looks like, but also because it will hopefully lower the price on the current gen used G35 coupes.

Back to the topic at hand, exterior-wise, it's a toss-up for either car -- one is 4 yrs old (3rd gen TL released in 2004) while the other one is 'refreshed' (ie G sedan). There aren't many 3rd gen TL's where I live (and even less TSX's since the closest Canadian dealership is 120 miles away) but many more G sedans (since there is a dealership where I live), so I have to say I "like" the TL looks for its uniqueness, but at the same time, I like the G for the "newness" (Does that make any sense at all?) But, if you put a gun to my head and say, "Pick one!" ... I'd say I would like the TL more because I don't think I can get used to the chrome piece on the G's trunk... I will give Infiniti kudos for doing something different ... and not copying someone else (eg Mr Bangle)
As for interior, I spent a significant amount of time inside the G sedan at the Detroit Autoshow. Spent more time in a '07 TL with navi (loaner car when I had my 120,000km service at the Acura dealership). There is no doubt Infiniti did their homework and "fixed" the G's interior. However, hands down, the TL interior feels more upscale than the G. And the navi is far more intuitive on the TL. I can only imagine what the 4th gen TL will be like.
Sorry ... guess I can't be too 'unbiased' an Acura-phile. But I suppose when I will most likely buy a new G37 coupe when it becomes reasonable in price (or if I can get a supplier discount off the bat), I won't be as "biased"

G35 inside and out but, by a small margin.

Hmmmm, though call. I will say this; despite the last gen G's hideous interior design it was very durable. TL's seem to suffer from some premature wear. I am not sure about the new G.
I prefer the design of the TL's interior though.

Assuming both cars are stock 07 TL (not TL-S) and G35 (not G35S), I choose the G35.
TL
I HATE the "facelifted" TL.. makes me happy I have an '06 TL (even though I originally wanted an '06 G). I don't like the new instrument cluster/color scheme, horrible tail lights, DRLs, fog lights placed in the bottom grilles. I do like the C/F shift knob and better leather.
G35
The 1st gen G is my favorite car. I like the new second gen as well, but not with the same enthusiasm i had for the '05-'06 models. I hate the rear end and side profile of the '07. It's taken me a while to get partially used to the front without the stacked headlights, but overall Infiniti did a very nice job on the front facia. Interior is definately in the TL category of luxury. The only thing that holds the G35 behind is technology. It can't hold a candle to the TL in that segment. But that's something I'd be willing to sacrifice for a G. My lease is up in '09 and I already know I'm probably getting the G (unless ACURA does the TLs redesign right).

Three Wheelin'
Exterior - tough call. G has "newness" because you don't see as many, and the ones you do see (at least around here) look like they've just been driven off the showroom floor i.e. very shiny and pretty. TL looks great even 3 years down the road. If I had to pick, and I could pick the cars in my ideal colors, I think I'd go TL-S in NBP for exterior. Very stealthy and classy.
Interior - TL. Better materials IMO. G is much MUCH improved and I actually like some things better like the leather, which I think is a shade more upscale. Overall though, it'd be TL for me.

TL inside and out looks better IMHO

Does anyone read this
G35, its better car all around. The TL and TL-S can't compare. The TL-S is slower with less options and it cost more. Plus the G35 looks more modern to me.
But it’s hard to compare the 2. It would be a better comparison when the new 08 TL comes out. But I still think the TL would loose out. They don’t have the balls to make a rear wheel drive car. Plus their all wheel drive cars or more front wheel drive bias. Lets hope they prove me wrong.

When the new G came out I would have said G, hands down. But much like the first gen G this one doesn't look so good anymore for some reason. The TL still looks great after nearly 4 years on the market.
