Decisions decisions...
Here are the 2 vehicles I am deciding on. Both are for sale via private party 1 hr away from me. Both are the exact color combo I want. I want navi, but the more I think about it I know I'll only use it once or twice. I drove another Accord w/navi today and didn't even pay attention to it. It's just another toy that I want.
First we have a 2003 Accord EX V6 Coupe.
36k miles
All OEM GFX except for the front piece. (I will put the gfx on if I buy a car without them so this saves me $.)
The rear windows are already tinted
NON navi
$16k
Second is a 2003 Accord EX V6 Coupe
34k miles
No gfx
All windows are already tinted
This DOES have navi
Comes with balanace of 5 year/60k mile warranty. Don't know if this is factory or aftermarket warranty yet.
$18k
Difference in payment will be approximately $50 a month. Yes, I can afford it, but I don't want to spend it and it's more than I had planned on spending, but it is the car I want...
I will be driving over 20k miles a year now, well at least for this year if I move down to FL next year as planned. I'll keep the car for 2 years or so as usual.
Which do you think I should go with?

For example I put 25 k on a car a year. however being a firefighter I have to memorize almost every county road and state route in my county. so navigation is pointless unless I go out of the area. usually I can tell if i'm headed east, west, north or south. So if it was my choice I'd go with the one without navi.

I'm just not sure if I want to pay the $50 extra a mo just to have navi.

That price difference for the navi isn't going to mean anything when you go to sell or trade it in. Neither is the slightly less miles.

The 2k mile difference shouldn't make much of a difference, both cars come with a 3 year and 36k mile waranty, so the 5 year 60k mile is aftermarket - it pretty much boils down to if you want navi or not, I would offer them less and see if they take it, maybe $1k less. maybe find some middle ground, have your cake and eat it too - or at least try to.
