deal or no deal

I always ask you guys after the fact but just an opinion. My buddies dad charged me $640 parts/labor to fix a leaky valve, change timing belt, change power steering hose, change a leaky transmission hose? Or tube? Or whatever cools the tranny fluid, and realign my bumper. Sound like a good deal?

Well I got it back. He said there is a noise with the steering wheel now, there wasn't before, because he didn't bleed the line so there are air bubbles which should go away in a few days. Other then that it seems good.

Ahh... this is where the story gets fishy... Air bubbles just don't go away by themselves. And a noise in the steering wheel isn't going to be caused by the brakes... If he didn't touch the brakes, there's no way air could get in the system...

Also, what was the deal with a leaky valve ?? A valve in the head ?? That he had to remove the head to fix ??

I'm starting to wonder now...
