I love how all these body on frame SUV's with horrible gas mileage have the balls to put an eco light on the dash.

My JK has one too...it averages 14mpg (or less) around town which is hardly eco.

We were wishing for 14 over New Years. 2012 Yukon XL Denali towing a trailer with a Kawi Mule on it. I think we were averaging 9-10mpg.

You don't have active fuel management? Or was that disabled in tow mode?

I think the next screen toggle over shows the instantaneous gas mileage and those guys at Toyota are ever so optimistic because it ranges from 0 to 60 mpg.

As if. They could change it to 0-20 and it'd still barely ping over halfway.

This is general around town driving with just me in it and no cargo lol. Funny thing is that it's ~15.5 on the highway so not much different.

Yeah that sounds about right. I can only image how shitty it would be towing with the Wrangler...wonder if the display eventually turns into gallons per mile...

They should just not even bother and just put "lol" for fuel economy.

It has AFM, just too much drag for it to engage with the trailer/mule.
My dad says he averages 14-17 in normal driving

Yep. 65k and was starting to need work I felt was premature. Had a lot of equity in it so I sold it to Carvana for a really good price. Sad but not sad.

If I want to have fun I drive my wife's Alfa.

No. First half of last year I dumped about $2g into the replacing the front suspension, replacing a cracked hose that was causing an emission leak, and dealing with FCA to get one time good will help to replace front and rear AC evaps that were supposedly leaking...only to have the AC compressor start leaking a month later (taken care of by the dealer thankfully).

I also knew I had one busted motor mount. Then, I went for an oil change and the drain nut was seized into the pan ($1200 for a new pan from my shop. $1600 from the dealer), and I could hear the AC was start to make faint noises again and didnt want to deal with FCA on it. So, I said fuck it all and sold it. Who knew what else might have been coming. That rear suspension costs an arm and a leg with the self leveling shocks if it went.

You don't want people to know that you can go off road even though you have never done so much as to jump a mall curb?
