Cool Cruise Control at 230 km/h

I LOVE GERMANY specially in my HONDA

Yesterday on my way from Rostock to Berlin i took advantage of the autobahn A19 early morning at around 4:00 am
i did 230 km/h in 6th gear and hit cruise control for about 10 min i was cruising at that speed and the odometer was increasing at rate i had never seen before.

At 230 km/h there were still some more revs to go and i hit the loud pedal and the needle stopped at 245 km/h, i look again at the revcounter damn i still havent hit the redline i push again the speedometer shows 250km/h. .
and then it wouldnt go faster than that.

I was in germany for a week and that was the only time i could use my accord for that speed because during the daytime autobahns are crowded and it is risky to go that fast.

And i even raced an M3 and smoked it, cause as soon we came to derestricted zone on the autobahn we both hit loud pedal and his engine blew smoke coming out from all sides
he got beat by a honda accord, my boss who was in my car all the time wasnt happy with the fact that my car does 250km/h and also i smoked bmw cause he is a M5 owner. finally he did admit that honda built great cars.

The car was so firm and stable at that speed hardly any wind noise but lot of tyre noise and the engine screaming at 7000rpm was the best part.

oh yeah
when we finally reached berlin for our meeting we were 1 hour ahead of the time,
the total distance was about 280km we did it in 1hr30min had it not been for my boss who had to pee after every 10 min we would have been there even before.

There is nothing that can put a bigger smile on your face like doing 250km/h in honda accord and your boss admiting it that my car is better that his in the end.

I will upload photos soon as i reach sweden which is in about 8 more hours.

my car needs lot of cleaning.

i was originally planning to take my audi S8 but since it has major engine problem
iit was in workshop, i have to sell it as soon as it is fixed,
waiting for the honda legend.

many sections of autobahns have speedlimits, this is near berlin

good scenery but when you drive on autobahn keep your eyes on the road.

Rostock eh? I lived in Schwerin for more than 6 years. Maybe you passed it on your way to Hamburg.

That's a TSX, right? (Euro Accord)

Around 156 Mph. I think the Euro Accords (TSX) come with the V6 that come in the Accords here (250 hp??) I didn't know they went that fast.

yeah it sounds like its a V6 cuz the i4 definately cant pull 150 mph, youd be lucky to see 130 maybe a bit more. i think its drag limited at 133 i read somehwere

i was very suprised to see 250km/h on the speedo but th true speed must be 240~245km/h

mine honda accord 2.4exec the same as tsx. i.e I4 with 190hp

and the my broschure says that the top speed is 230km/h,

but i think they written a lower speed because of insurance maybe

for example the new audi a6 2.4 has 177hp they say its top speed 240km/h
and it is both heavier and aerodynamically inferior to euro accord.

so maybe the true speed really is 240~250km/h

200 hp for a 3300 pound car will get you around 145 mph

I know myself I've done 145 mph on a closed track without any problems.
